Cherries in the snow.

I really had no idea the light would be this bright.
It was cloudy and late in the afternoon.
I thought the snowflakes would be fun.
Katie thought the lipstick would be fun.
I wanted something with a bright color in the picture and thought the blue would go nicely with the red lips and white skin.

I forgot to take an out of focus picture.  I have Katie in a green jacket and red pants that are both out of focus.  I intended to get one more.  I am going to try to blur one of these in photoshop.
That should be doable.  I'll let you know how it goes.

It's finals week at school.
Things are going great.

Now, who wants some Oreos and milk?

Encourage one another,
Donna

Beautiful picture! Love the contrasts of the colors. Oreos and milk? Hmmmm...regular or whole? : ) Have a beautiful day Ms. Booshay!

  2. Oh, Donna. These are just exquisite! I love the colors and the mood. I wanted to let you know about some snow textures/overlays you might like. I know how hard it is to capture snow and some people might think this was cheating, but I care not. They really are quite lovely and range from subtle to full out storm. http://www.bellevue-avenue.com/winter-wonderland-snow-overlays/

That Katie is a beauty. I love the contrast of her hair/skin/lipstick/the snow. The photos are so pretty.

  4. Can't get over the beauty of these pictures -- and of Katie, of course!

Love the Oreos, but I'll take them with a cuppa tea. :)

  5. Love these!! I love the blue scarf and lipstick. It's amazing how the quietness of snow comes through in these shots. Love how you capture that! The snowflakes suspended in the back ground are wonderful! :)

  6. You amaze me with how you manage to find just the right light. I need to come see you and let you teach me how. Beautiful colors on a drab day.

I'll take ugly truffles made with oreos, please. Yummy.

Katie seems to be about to walk out of my computer screen and right into our home. She is 3D in those lovely photos. I like the snowflakes suspended around her, too. As an old friend of ours used to say, "Too cute for words." love and prayers, jep
PS Hope the finals continue to go well for you Katie!
