California Dream Come True

Hi!  I'm home from California!  It was such a perfect visit.
Dottie is so loved and doing super well!  Patrick and Shelby are wonderful, doting parents.  Dottie is kissed and cuddled and sung to and burped with joy!
She is strong and eating well and just about to coo.

She likes her dressing table!

Sitting up so big.  Six weeks.  Advanced :o)

Hello Mommy.

One hundred kisses.

Special stop-crying hold.

Good fit.  Look at those toes.

Found some light and got some nice clear pictures :o)

A favorite!!  HONEY!!!

Oh my gosh.

What's so funny?

One hundred kisses.
Again.

Beloved little girl.

First trip out (not to the Dr. office)
We went to a baker in Oakland that sells chicken sandwiches between 10 and 2.
It was a great success.

Bakesale Betty's
Go there and eat this.

The bun was perfect, the chicken perfect and the slaw was perfect when I picked the jalapenos out.

Beautiful family portrait!

We went to the farmers market in the town where Shelby teaches dance.
She saw a few students and friends while there so that was fun!

New normal :o)

My favorite thing about visiting California;
Patrick, Shelby and Dottie,
Palm trees.

Katie made me a beautiful banner!!!

Be it ever so humble....

Next time I see Dottie she will be so different.
I am very thankful that I had the chance to meet her and love her in person!
Nothing more important to me in the whole world.

Love Donna

  2. So happy you got to see your new baby in person. Everything about them is so good... even the smell. Ha ha So, so cute...just sayin the truth. Hope you have lots of opportunities in the future to hold and cuddle. Much love.

  3. Dottie is beautiful! I love the color of her hair! You are so right, and it's a hard truth to accept - but she will be different when you see her again. I was so close when our first grandchild was born, and saw him at least several times a week. Our second lives a 5-hour drive away and so I don't see him as often. I'm thankful for FaceTime talks! Glad you got some cuddles in!

  4. Oh, your Dottie pictures are beautiful. Do your kids know about the Lifecake app? It's by Canon, and the family can get this app and share a ridiculous amount of pictures and videos with just the family, all in one app. My daughter uses it so she can share a ton with family while just putting a few on social media - and I know lots of moms don't want to put any out at all. My grandchildren still have ALL of their great-grandparents, and they all have an iPad or tablet that can have the app on it, and enjoy seeing pictures nearly daily. *end commercial*

Oh, that beautiful family portrait of the three of them, and the sweet picture of Dottie sleeping in your arms! Thank you so much for sharing with us. She is a beautiful baby. I am so glad you got to go, and how sweet of Katie to make you a Welcome Home banner. Everything else in life pales in comparison to those we love.
