One week ago...

I'm sorry I've been gone so long.
The worst possible thing has happened...

Patrick and Shelby's baby could not make it.
Shelby did not feel any little kicks so she went to the Dr. office to have a check up.
There she got the worst news.
They could not find a heartbeat.

Poppy was born the next day.
She was 31 weeks and weighed three pounds and was 17 inches long.

Patrick and Shelby were very thankful that they could meet her and see her pretty little face.
They held her and loved her for hours and they will never forget those precious moments with her.

As hard as it is for us....
it is a million times worse for them.

Please pray for them.

What really haunts me....

This picture.
Out of all the pictures I have ever taken....
this is the one that haunts me.

It was taken in 2011.
We did not know Emma had epilepsy.

When you learn that you have epilepsy you are told to be careful of certain situations;
Swimming, bathing, climbing up high...

And I think of all the times Emma swam and bathed and climbed up high...

And I am ever so thankful that she did not get hurt....
or fall off of a 32 story building.

True anxiety thinking about this.

But it didn't happen.
But what if it did.
But it didn't.

God has taught me a lot of things.
But the greatest of these is love.

We may have political differences...
there may be tattoos.... ;o)
Some people may have big opinions...
and be rather dramatic....
*me

But with the help of God's love and His ways of forgiveness...
love deepens and relationships thrive.

I am keenly aware of how fragile life is.
Fragile and fleeting.

Let nothing come between you and your loved ones.

"We spend precious hours fearing the inevitable.  It would be wise to use that time adoring our families, cherishing our friends and living our lives."

Red Carpet 2017. The Golden Globes.

  In no particular order....

I loved the risk of this dress.  This year since I was following the red carpet in pictures on the internet, I was not able to see the dresses move until I watched the show.  The moving dresses are much better in most cases.  I love color and prints and this is just so interesting and different.
Olivia Culpo looks stunning in her Zuhair Murad gown.

This is beautifully classic with a modern feel.
Cristy Teigen in her Marchesa.

I really love Kristen Wiig in her Reem Acra dress.

Viola Davis in Michael Kors.  This dress was perfect on her.  She looks beautiful.

I thought this dress was yellow...but it is gold.  I think it is a risky choice....something we haven't seen before.  Beautiful.
Kerry Washington/Dolce

Zoe Saldana.
This is my favorite.  LOVE.

Gucci

Milly Bobby Brown from Stranger Things in the perfect dress for a 12 year old.
Jenny Packham dress...like the Duchess of Cambridge (Kate)
Milly is from England and is delightful.

This dress stood out on stage.
Naomie Harris looking sparkly and gorgeous.

Prada makes a maternity dress for Natalie Portman.  It is so lady-like and vintage-y and regal.
I just love it.  They call this color green....I thought it was yellow...but I can kinda see it as green if I squint.  Lovely.  So lovely.

Caitriona Balfe from Outlander in a unique dress.  The fabric and flower and cut are gorgeous.
Personally I would not have gone with the Chicago Bears colors.  Not sure what color I would pair with that blue...
What do you think?

A very sweet moment from the show.  Dev Patel walked out with the little boy he acts with in Lion.
Their suits look identical and it was just the cutest thing....
They were both absolutely adorable and charming.

Okay!
That's it for now.
I've got to get ready for school.

Love you.
Miss You.

Tell me what you think?

Encourage one another,

Golden Globes...getting ready for the red carpet.

Well.  Not in the way they do in Hollywood.  No hair dresser,  no dress fitting,
no tickets to the show.

Just the Quiet Life way.

Home.
Couch.
Scrap of paper,  a pen,
and my very humble opinion.

I'm excited to see all the pretty dresses.
It's been too long.

Love the checked Carolina Herrera

Any of these would be lovely.

See you tomorrow...

Fingers crossed for Lion.

Because it's the only one I've see.

Silly.
