I did however remember to watch tv and go to Target and get my chai....and then come home and watch Slumdog Millionaire.
And I took a few fun pictures of Katie cause she did her hair and looked fab in her new sunglasses.
Ginny the good dog ate Katie's pink pair and so she HAD to buy some more. She likes how these glasses have sprinkles on them.
It is so cold out today that Patrick and Katie are both wearing coats and I have a sweater on.
Freaky. Feels like October.
You may wonder why Katie is not playing beach volleyball in Milwaukee today.
Well. Katie was #3 on her team. The tournament said no teams of threes. So she is OUT of luck.
Can you believe it?
AND the home tournament has been cancelled.
Bummer huh?
Katie is handling it better than I am.
And so we are lazing around the house instead of participating...well...I'm lazing...Katie just mowed the lawn :o)
Greek Fest is this weekend so we may drive over to the Greek picnic for some Chicken and a yummy salad.
We shall see.
After we found out that we were not going to Milwaukee we accepted an invite to a baby shower for this morning...but guess what?
The baby came this morning.
Aye yi yi
Happy Saturday!!!

Some things don't work out the way we want them to, but they always work out the way they should. Katie is gorgeous, Donna!
ReplyDeleteI was wondering where the Sat. blog was!!!! ;)

Love the second picture. The turquoise background, with the color of her shirt, with the sprinkles glasses and her expression. Fabulous! She may have to consider a modeling career someday and, of course, you will do her portfolio!

Bummer about the beach tournament! But picture me at North Ave beach with my teeth chattering for five hours earlier today and that may temper your disappointment.... And to think that at every tournament last year we worried about the girls overheating!
ReplyDeleteCool new glasses and Katie, as always, looks model-perfect. Enjoy the rest of your lazy Saturday!

I so wish I lived near you so I could take a few lessons from you. I love, love, love your photography. You know that by now, but I had to say it again. So sorry about Katie's tournament. Did you wait on the baby shower? I love the baby showers where the baby has arrived early and is at the shower! I had my 50th birthday on Thursday, but there were celebrations all week and a surprise party today. My kids and husband had me completely fooled.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday Southern Gal! I love a good week-long birthday celebration!
DeleteWell, the title of this could have been: In Which We Tried Every Which Way to Drum Up Some Fun and Clearly We Were Meant to Be at Home. I say, curtsy to the universe, put on the popcorn and a movie!! It's a sign! (Like they say in Sleepless in Seattle. :) )
ReplyDeleteLOVE that Katie pic so much. Great color and composition!!
LOVE the new sunglasses.
ReplyDeleteGreek Fest .... yummmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Your photography is stunning and it doesn't hurt that Katie is such an absolutely beautiful subject.

The new glasses are insanely cool.
ReplyDeleteAnd Katie?
She takes my breath away with her loveliness.
