a few of my favorite things...

I went to look at my Pinterest to see if there was some inspiration for a post.
I like looking at my pins.  Still.  I looked in my "beautiful" board.

One of the first things that caught my eye was this hair.
There was a time when I would have hated any boldly colored hair.
But gosh.  I've changed, I guess, because this is gorgeous to me now.

I just adore darling fonts and calligraphy.
Big fan.

This picture popped up in my Facebook feed today.  We were in Destin Florida for a wedding.  I just love the colors and calm, content faces.

I have a real fondness for white rooms.  The whiter the better.  I think 75% of the rooms I have saved on Pinterest are white.

Flowers. Always flowers.

And sweet words.

Katie is home.  But she really did leave her heart in Brussels.  She has thought of almost nothing other than how to get back to Europe since Saturday night.

Oh how I wish money grew on trees.

Love and beauty and dreams coming true.

Encourage one another,
Donna

  1. If I was rich, I would send you money for a white room. And a trip to Europe for you and your little sunshine. Since I am not rich (with money), I will just send all my love. Happy Wednesday.

I love white rooms too! The older I get, the less I like dark colors in rooms. I am drawn to white, fresh, airy. And yes to beautiful calligraphy and fonts also. Beautifully drawn letters are so wonderful and there are so many to look at on Pinterest. I tried calligraphy with pen nibs and ink when I was younger and only produced mediocre at best. Still love it though. So glad Katie got back safe and sound.

  5. Ohhh, Katie! Her heart and interests are expanding. She will do some good in this world, I am sure.

I want to sleep in the white room. It's gorgeous! And you and Patrick in your white shirts look as though you belong in that room. :)

  6. I already commented, but I want to tell you how much I LOVE that picture of you and Patrick. I went to Destin for the I heart faces conference one year and was SO smitten with the sand and the blue and the sunshine. Like completely smitten. If I could pack up my parents and their farm, my kid(s) and their stuff, my husband and my siblings, I would move there in a second. Once second. What a lovely place. The picture is perfect. I hope you are having a great day filled with sunshine. It is raining here in Philly. I have been feeling so sad all day about Kaish going back to school. Your blog always makes me feel better though. Every single time I visit. Thank you for being a blessing.
