Katie found this little heard of Jerseys on a bike ride last week.
She showed them to me the following day.
They were timid yet curious with tongues like a kitty cat.
They moved as a group; a bovine chorus line.
Such pretty little cows.

They are adorable, and so similar to Swiss cows :-)
ReplyDeleteWe went to local fair and checked out the cow breeds. The Swiss were grayish and had tufts of hair on their spines. Their faces were so similar.
ReplyDeleteWe lived on a ranch outside Denver when I was little. A little Jersey named Bessie lived there and my mom just loved her. So of course Jersey's are my favorite cows :)
ReplyDeleteReminds me of my 4-H days….which only lasted a New York minute….but New York is kind of close to Jersey, so it’s full circle, no? :)
ReplyDeleteFunny! ;-)
DeleteThanks for the smile Mary. jep
So cute..............LOVE the pictures! Karen F.
ReplyDeleteI love them mMOOOOOO
ReplyDeleteHow cute. They look like they would feel like velvet!
ReplyDeleteI looked up Jersey's to see if we milk them or eat them too, someone on Wiki wrote "Due to the small size, docile and inquisitive character and attractive features of the Jersey cow, small herds were imported into England by aristocratic landowners as adornment for aesthetically landscaped parks."
ReplyDeleteApparently this was Epics plan!
DeleteI grew up on Jersey cow milk that was delivered to our house, really good!
ReplyDeletelove and prayers, jep
I love Jerseys's. They are so pretty. I don't think my Dad is a huge fan because they aren't big milk producers or meat producers. He is all about the business aspect.
ReplyDeleteThey are adorable and I love what Emma found on Wiki. So cute.
