Love this. THANKS for posting, Donna. I am sure I have shared my brush with fame here before, but Stuart came to U.C. Davis for a short time in the 80s and was my husband's roommate. The first time we sang this song and saw the author, John was so thrilled! Such a favorite.
Blessed Easter week to you and all the QLCS. Looking toward victory!
Donna, God be with you and yours. "Here in the love of Christ I stand..." I am so grateful. Thank you for blessing me so much this evening with this rendition of a favorite song.
As I read this yesterday, I was desperately trying to remember the first song sung at the Stations of the Cross service I attended at our local hospital chapel yesterday. I've had difficulty with the Stations devotion in the past (just not really getting into it, sorry to admit). But yesterday I was moved to tears with the simple guitar and two voices singing several familiar songs before the Stations and then singing part of the responses during the stations. When I tried to remember the first song, though, I could not. Thankfully I knew one of the singers and she was able to tell me today it was Stuart Townend's "How Deep the Father's Love". After reading Di's comment (I'm impressed with your star connection, Di!), I thought it was ironic that it was another song of his I was trying to remember.
I hope your Resurrection Day celebration was just beautiful, Donna. This is my son's favorite Newsboy song. He plays it on sax with his friend playing trumpet and another on piano. Mine is Michael Card's Love Crucified Arose. Blessings!

My two favorites. I've posted "How deep" in the past... changed it up this year. These songs are my funeral songs :)
