And then the sun shone....
It does not take much to make me happy.
Some beautiful light.
Katie.
A few props.
Fun in the sunshine.
I love pretty light.
It makes my day.
Even when I don't get a piece of pie.
This was so much better.
Springing ahead is the bomb.
Spring in Wisconsin...not so much.
But the extra light MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!!

Sunlight lifts my mood, too. We had fog, fog, fog yesterday and then sunshine and I went and sat in the sun for an hour, and it made my whole day.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday!

I have been loving the extra beautiful light. And we've been spoiled even more with some spring temperatures. There is still likely some snow in our future, but I'll take sun and warm whenever it comes!
ReplyDeletePretty light makes me swoon,
ReplyDeleteYour photos always, always make me smile. You know your light.
ReplyDeleteWhen will the book club begin? I got the book from the library and want to participate. My Beth Moore study is taking up a great deal of my reading time right now. I hope I can stay on track. if not, I'll just read the comments and try to catch up!
Thank you so much.
DeleteBook club begins on Monday. Chapter one.
Beautiful girl - beautiful light!
ReplyDeleteMake another pie this weekend -- treat yo' self :-)
{{{LIKE}}} Oh my yes, that sweet Katie and the sweet light is a combination to make the day seem brighter and better. Thank you Donna for sharing. love and prayers, jep
DeleteI forgot, welcome back to The States Susan. Hope you have a good time while you are here. jep
DeleteHi jep! Its great to be in the States - surrounded by people who speak English!
DeleteI love the light, too. I haven't complained one bit about springing forward.

Thank you for encouraging me and adding joy to my days. I haven't commented in ages (years?), but I'm still following along.
ReplyDeleteHi! Thank you for your encouraging comment.
ReplyDeleteIm glad you left a comment :)
Thanks!
Beautiful pictures. Katie looks so cute in those glasses, Donna. And she has the Boucher eyebrow look down perfectly (-:
ReplyDeleteSo glad you have had some sunshine; this is my time of year in northern California, but I will be begging for mercy in August when it is blazing hot. For now I will appreciate that we have sunshine and bulbs blooming.
I have started my Bonhoeffer re-read. It is perfect timing, as Claire is in a play production of The Hiding Place. It appears that this spring's focus will be the Christian response to Nazi Germany!
John and Claire leave this afternoon to go pick up Madelaine for spring break!!! One more quarter and she will be a college grad! WOW! I cannot wait to see her.
I prayed for the QLCS this morning...for biopsy results and husband's job, for children and vision, for sickness and for recovery, for unspoken needs and general hard times. And for travel to the US for our Swiss Miss.
Happy day to all,
Di

Amen to safe travels - his mercies are new every morning!
ReplyDeleteWhere did she get the glasses????? Love them. She is so beautiful...my birthday twin!!! :) -- Carol Sue
ReplyDeleteGOrgeous use of light DOnna.
ReplyDeleteI started the book.. a bit daunting....some sentences are wonderful.....
Carol Sue, The glasses are from a costume store. We use them for halloween and for fun.
ReplyDeleteKathyb,
I thought the first chapter about the family was sweet and a bit heartbreaking for momma.
Ah! I love those photos!! Especially the two of Katie holding the glasses at the bridge of her nose. She couldn't be any cuter!
ReplyDeleteI love light, too. I have yet to master it in photography... but sunshine just makes me HAPPY!
However, my three-year-old grandson, Kingston, just told us this morning (driving to MOPS) that he hates the sun... that is when it's in his eyes through the backseat window and he can't escape it. I always remind him the sun is wonderful, he just doesn't like it when it's in his eyes. He just sighs and softly says "yeah." (And I imagine he's thinkging, "whatever, gramma!) ;-)
My Bonhoeffer book came today... a day early! Yay for Amazon - I just ordered it yesterday afternoon!! I'll be ready for Monday. Whoot.
Ahhh, yes, spring in Wisconsin.....which never arrives anywhere close to spring on the calendar. Getting mighty tired of this winter, I am I am, and trying to ignore the fact there's more snow coming tonight :::sigh:::
ReplyDeleteBUT the library had that very thick book club book, so I've started reading :-)
Blessings,

I am sure that knowing the light is the key to many important things. I am on a mission to become better acquainted with it in those important things...photography included.
ReplyDeleteI truly love how you are always able to capture the light so perfectly. It appears to me to be like magic. I know it's not, but it amazes me. It is my goal... you are my mentor... you know that!
ReplyDeleteI have the book downloaded. However, I am in the middle of a profoundly interesting "chick lit" book that keeps me giggling. I will get right on to the other soon. I might miss the first week! xo
Hi there! I simply wish to offer you a huge thumbs up for the excellent information you have here on this post.
ReplyDeleteI am returning to your blog for more soon.
