Taken by Fisheye Pro on my iPhone (Kodachrome film, Normal). http://goo.gl/G33D2

This was taken last year on this day.  Our snow is about the same.  Ginny is looking very fine.  Katie's hair is LONG.

That you have such a February face,
So full of frost, of storm and cloudiness?”

Shot hair don't go well to everybody. But, Katie is definitively gorgeous with short hairs. She looks older and ... a small woman !

Smiling in Iowa! Snow day here. I'm not complaining. Choosing happiness and counting my blessings today. Thanks for the reminder, Miz Boo. You better get the bagels real quick. They look good.

Susan, thanks for the idea. I was just thinking about what to fix for lunch.

    2. The recipe looks wonderful. Can you tell me what 4 cl cream means in American measurement?

    3. Hi Rachel, 40 cl's of cream is about 13 and 1/2 ounces.

You can just eyeball the bacon :-)

It is delicious! The gruyere cheese makes it very special !

    4. I bought a pint of cream today! AND gruyere (Chah-Ching). Yay! Thanks for answering, Susan!

  7. Amen! No February faces around here either...
well, perhaps, Gary and Kaish have February faces because they are just about to go out and shovel ice : ). I begged Gary to tell his job he couldn't come in yesterday afternoon because I knew ice was coming and I KNEW without a shadow of a doubt I wanted nothing to do with shoveling that.

Doesn't time fly? Everyone is growing. Love these flashback pictures of your beautiful family.

Smiling from Washington! Love the quote, though. I don't remember ever reading that one. That darn Shakespeare was so unbelievably clever. Cold temps here but blue, blue sky and crisp air. How could I not be smiling?

It's not always easy to smile during long commutes on very snowy roads -- especially when hearing forecasts of below zero temps yet again tonight..... But, we have a warm home and a full gas tank and a site like this to visit and see beautiful photos and hear encouraging words, so we trudge on. And we do smile. :)
