Isn't it dear how children are so quick to give money to musicians and needy folks?

I think it is.

***

Katie is feeling a little better.  Our short shopping trip and lunch yesterday tired her out.  She was happy to get back to the couch.
Today she is meeting a friend at the pool.  She says she is up to it.
I told her to take it easy in the water.
"Don't go under."

Standing in the cool water and talking....that should be okay.

Oh there is so much responsibility being a parent.
These little daily decisions are never ending, aren't they?

Happy Friday!

Encourage one another,
Donna

  1. Hi Donna! I'm happy hear that Katie if feeling a little better. I had pneumonia last summer and it does take a lot out of you. You didn't mention how you were doing from your cold. I hope better! Take care!

Glad Katie is feeling better and hope you are as well. It's not easy being a parent, so thank goodness it's oh so rewarding!!

Little Katie with Felicity at American Girl Place -- just adorable. And yes, it is SO dear how little ones always want to give. Pure, generous hearts. Love that.

  4. I hope the wading/talking thing went well at the pool. It is hard to be cooped up away from the pals when you're sick for a long time! Prayers for Katie continue.

Appreciate prayers for Bren, too. He is going into two intense weeks of basketball tournament/camp and it is a time when colleges are looking for future recruits. And he just caught a cold that went straight to his lungs. We're praying he kicks it soon! No pressure...just your future we're talking about, Bren (-: We're working at resting and trusting and just having fun. Not easy, but we're learning.

I loved that pic of your sisters and brother on Facebook today. Such cuties!!!

    Love,
    Di

SO agree with what you say, Donna ... So hard to be a parent, sometimes.
    Very friendly.

  12. these little decisions ARE never-ending.......

what a perfect way to capture the heart of parenting. It's the little decisions that cause us (me!) to labor over things (and figuratively wring my hands). But, I believe, it's the little decisions that reflect the true heart of parenting.

i learn so much from the "little decisions" you make with Katie, and in your life as you share it here on QL....
