fall is in the air
ReplyDeleteleaves are falling, skies are blue,
resplendent with hope.
colors all around,
yellows, golds, and amber hue,
then it starts to rain.
wet and moldy ground
leaves that sit all winter long
detritus of time.
November is hard,
purgatory from the sun;
waiting for the snow.
but September skies-
and - if we're blessed - October
ring with heaven's hues.
so i'll carry on
for the hope of spring awaits
somewhere after this.
alas.
