What happens matters.

Hi friends,

Good news to report on Carol Sue (Melinda's mom); she is taking steps in the healing direction and we are so grateful.  It's kind of miraculous when you know how very sick she was.  She is awake and wishing she could talk/communicate.  But perhaps by the end of the week she will have her trach adjusted so that can happen.
I honestly attribute this turnaround to the hundreds of prayers being said for her.  I don't see any other reason.  Thank you Lord for this incredible blessing.

Our friend Susan May (our Swiss Miss) said goodbye to her mother in Alaska yesterday after a long illness.  Susan is confident where her mother is now and knows that she is with Jesus...but I know even with that truth, there is loss and forever missing.
Bless you dear Susan.  Praying comfort for your family.

It matters.

  1. I am so glad to hear of Carol Sue's healing. I will keep praying for her and for Matthew, Melinda and their boys as they all give so much to bring Carol Sue back to health and wholeness.

And I will continue to pray for Susan and her family!

It matters so much, and it is good to remember we are not alone.

  3. Feeling joy for Carol Sue's improvement! Continued prayers for the long road of healing, but so grateful she is on that road.

Keeping dear Susan and her family in my prayers as well. The story of her father's devotion to her mother brought me to tears the first time I heard it. Oh to love -- and be loved -- so well.

    The quote is absolutely beautiful.

  7. Hello!

I am glad for a bit of free time, and a chance to peek into this loving corner of the world.

Thanks be to God for Carol Sue' s improvement!! What grand news. I will continue to join you in lifting her up.

And thanks from the bottom of my heart for your kindness and support about my mom's home-going to heaven. She was amazing, and endured much in the last 11 years (due to Alzheimer's).

I am feeling strong, and know it's the prayers. Donna, it was a comfort to remind myself that I was truly helping to "walk her home".

Finally, mom's name is Carol, and since my name Susan, well -- all I can say is I feel a soft spot for Carol Sue instinctively!
