Two videos for you today.
The first is James Corden with Adele. Carpool Karaoke!!!
James has a talk show that is on pretty late. He was the baker in Into the Woods.
He is quite famous in England and gaining popularity here in the states...especially because of this funny, happy bit he does on his show. They are also hugely popular on YouTube. You can find them all there....
Adele has just the best voice and a fantastic, real personality. I like her better than the songs she puts on her albums. But I really don't want to say anything bad about her....cause she's great and I think there must be something wrong with me.
"Is it a Mom-bob?"

On Sunday with seconds to go in the game and only behind by one point Blair Walsh kicked a field goal for the win...but he missed. The Vikings season was over.
He should have made it, but he didn't.
These children (and their awesome teacher) offer him a big dose of kindness and learned about empathy.
My two favorite things.
Good stuff for a Friday!
With love.
Donna
P.s. Our friend Carol B's sweet sister Margo passed away this week.
If you could remember her in your prayers and when you sing a beautiful hymn this week I know that would be much appreciated. I know she will feel the love we send.
Oh man, that's who he is! I kept thinking he looked familiar. I saw the movie twice, but both times on an airplane (itty bitty screen). I watched this clip and loved it.
ReplyDeleteGod bless dear Carol and her family. Lord, pour out your mercy on the family.
Thank you. It was a hard experience, but also very good. I kept thinking of Donna's phrase: We are seven. We had seven roses on her casket: six pink ones and one white one.
DeleteI wanted to mention...Blair kicked three previous field goals in the game. In fact, he is the only person to score that day. They lost 10 to 9. All nine from Blair Walsh.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty clueless about football stuff but even I heard about this fellow. Bless his heart. OK now I have to watch.
DeleteI'm so sorry to hear about Carol's loss. Praying for her and her family.
ReplyDeleteThis is only the second video of carpooling that I've seen. I LOVE the one with Stevie Wonder. This one is great, too. Now I'll have to look them all up!
Thank you, Southern Gal. I appreciate your prayers.
DeleteThose car ride karaokes are the bomb. ...our Packers - still hanging on by a thread. Darling first graders. God bless football! Haha!
ReplyDeleteSo sorry for your loss, Carol. Sending you a warm hug and prayer from New Jersey. Also saying a prayer for Celine as she says goodbye to her husband, Rene. :(
ReplyDeleteHope you have a good weekend, Donna and all the QL readers. I am anxiously waiting for a call from my oldest daughter who is expecting baby #6 any day now. Hopefully I won't be at work when she calls to tell me she is in labor. I am going to babysit the older kids when she goes to the hospital. The midwife told her today she could go any day or last another two weeks!
Thanks, Robin. Everything went so "well" (if you can call dying a process that went well) that we attributed to the prayers made for our family.
DeleteLOVED Into The Woods it was so so good! And that video was awesome lol! Thanks for sharing some happy today :)
ReplyDeletePrayers for Carol and for Robin's daughter, God in Your mercy, please hear our prayers.
ReplyDeleteDonna you always have something to astound me! ;-)
love and prayers, jep
Thank you!
DeleteThank you, jep!
DeleteI'm so sorry for your loss, Carol B. What a hard thing, to lose someone you love so much. May God comfort you and your family.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Z.
Thanks, Debbie. We lost our parents young; my sister was disabled, but I was still surprised when she was taken.
