Downton Abbey's 6th and final season began last night.
It was wonderful. It had the feel of the first few seasons.
I have mourned Matthew's death for over two years and have not forgiven
Dan Stevens for leaving the show...but every thing else was on point and I was happily distracted by many other good parts last night.
I shed a tear or two and even giggled one or twice.
And I didn't hate Bates. So dang happy they are done with all of that depressing stuff.
Bring on the joy and humor and beautiful music.

ReplyDeleteI am glad you were pleased with the episode last night. I thought the "spirit" of it was just right.
I relished the hunting scene, beautiful red coats and pretty horses. Glad we didn't have to see the poor little fox !

I thought Mrs Patmore earned MVP award.

I loved every picture from your year in review. You are a blessing.
ReplyDeleteThose grandbabies are too sweet for words, so I won't even try.
Katie always makes me smile. She is a bringer of light.
Wishing you all the best. Joy, love and happiness.
Great photo round up of your year! That last picture, though. LOVE it.

ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. A good reminder of the faithfulness of God.
ReplyDeleteLife didn't look so quiet there! Haha! ... Beautiful.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures of a lovely family! We also had a house full over Chirstmas and it was noisy and wonderful. Episode 1 of season 6 was just right. I am glad the Bates issue has been resolved and not dragged out any longer. There were some fun laughs too.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year! Love your blog!
ReplyDeleteThat QLCS gathering was a highlight of the year (and snuggling on the couch with Ginny and walking around Madison with the amazing moon rising, and talking, talking, talking.) Thanks for being a 2015 Highlight in my life, my friend.
ReplyDeleteI love all your pics, Donna, but those little boys in their jambes really are amazing. What a beautiful family you have.
Hugs to you,
Di
