I was going to sit back on my heels and let someone else post - I am often your early bird here. But I cannot hold back -- I love love love this little birdie. I have a fondness for decorative birdies. It's true.
I've said it before, many of us QLCS folks have - but thank you again for posting lovely poems. I feel richer for it. This one especially resonates with me as I was watching closely a crow (a big fella) near the train tracks, hopping about and making his funny noises at us.
No snow here yet -- but it's cold enough to have some. I'm happy to wait :-)
My favorite winter poem. Thank you for posting it. Many years ago I had to look up the word rued in the dictionary because I didn't know what it meant and found that it means regretted. I love the thought that this crow turned Robert Frost's day around for him. He was able to view the simplest things in life with such eloquence.
Lovely poem…cutie pie birdie standing before the Boucher Motto…made me think: "To everything (Turn, Turn, Turn) There is a season (Turn, Turn, Turn) And a time to every purpose, under Heaven" The Byrds love and prayers, jep
Jep! I just think it's so thrilling that words of scripture get so much radio play!! :) Ancient Words, ever true.. Changing me and changing you! :) You always ALWAYS share the most brilliant stuff. I wish I could come for a day and sit at your feet! :)
God willing some day I am bringing my fisherman husband to the land of many lakes Wisconsin and it will be I who sit and learn from you faith-filled young ones. Wisconsin, the land of beautiful people (did you say that first Susan?)…beautiful in body and soul. You inspire me here. love and prayers, jep
Mary, I will often say out loud when something bugs me "Not Cool, Robert Frost" ala Kid President -- and have gotten the strangest looks! I've had to reign myself in :-)
Love Robert Frost. I like your blog. You make us think. Are you still doing your book study on Dietrich Bonhoeffer? I would probably not have read that book if it hadn't been for your blog.
