We are headed to the farmers market downtown this morning.
Katie is wearing this.
I told her she should dress warmer.
She won't budge.
So then I laid down the gauntlet...
"You are not allowed to shiver even once."
I feel better.
Parenting.
It's not for wimps.
I'll try to take pretty pictures and post some later today.
Encourage one another,
Donna
If last night was any indication, she will shiver! She needs a sweater! ;)
ReplyDeleteYep, letting the shiver be the lesson is so hard for me. I really want my kids to know how right I am. My older ones have begun to admit my brilliance in some areas (-:
ReplyDeleteI am only allowed to complain in the heat, since I do such a good job of that. And my husband is a firm believer that you never need to be cold if you prepare. Such a good Boy Scout (-:
Happy Saturday, all. My oldest has her first Muay Thai kickboxing fight tonight! She will be in the ring for three rounds. I never would have pictured her in that realm a few years ago, and now she is a muay Thai beast. Amazing how much we all change and grow.
Much love to you and the QLCS, Donna,
Di
Yikes - kickboxing sounds radical! Good for her !!
DeleteDi,
DeleteI can't believe Madelaine is kick-boxing. Good for her!

Brrr I get shivery just thinking about it!
ReplyDeleteI love her cute t-shirt (Mumford & Sons, right?) Plus the light is so pretty.
Thank you for making me laugh this morning! I hope Katie was warm enough.
ReplyDeleteThis made me think of the old saying, "Mama is cold, everybody put on a sweater." Young folks these days seem warmer natured or maybe I am just cooling off as I get older. ;-) Hope you found lots of good food to buy at the Farmers Market. Looking forward to more pictures.
ReplyDeletelove and prayers, jep
