The streak is over.

Dear Husband is home....sick...today.

We have been married for 23 years and this is a first!

Not missed a day of work due to sickness in 23 years....Cal Ripken got to run the bases for his streak in baseball a few years back. BASEBALL....never missed a game....big deal, I say!

Cal is a really cool dude. We love the hearty, hal, workhorses here in Wisconsin. Look at the Amazing Brett Favre.

But no one compares to my dear hubby when it comes to hardworking.

So this is his tribute...no fireworks....not jog around the field...just a blog entry :o)

We are thankful for our health and know that every good and perfect gift is from above. We consider our healthy bodies to be gifts. Nothing deserved.

Someday I will tell you our chicken pox story.

The lessons we learn from times of illness and despair are priceless. Painful to endure....but the gems of understanding and gratefulness and strengthening of faith are what grow us. I have been know to say..."But I don't like the fire."
