It is absolutely the most perfect morning.
A good strong breeze is making the trees sing.
The air has a touch of humidity, it is still cool.
And the birds are chattering to one another.
It is something to notice, a morning like this.

Just how beautiful our world is.

But I know a young family who, I'm sure is not looking out the window.
They only have eyes for their little boy.

He had a brain tumor removed this week.
They don't know if it is benign or malignant.

So they are waiting.
In a hospital,
for results.

Ethan is 19 months old and his parents are only 26 years old.

Would you join me in praying for them?

Heavenly Father, watch with us over your child Ethan, and grant that he may be restored to that perfect health which it is yours alone to give; through Jesus Christ our Lord.
Amen.

Is any sick among you? let him call for the
elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.
And the prayer of faith shall save the sick and
the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have
committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.
Confess your faults one to another pray one
for another that ye may be healed. The effectual
fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
James 5:14-15-16

And here is a prayer for all of our children.
It is my favorite and I think this is the fourth time I have posted it.

For Our Children

by Amy Carmichael

Father, hear us, we are praying,
Hear the words our hearts are saying;
We are praying for our children.

Keep them from the powers of evil,
From the secret, hidden peril;
Father, hear us for our children.

From the whirlpool that would suck them,
From the treacherous quicksand, pluck them;
Father, hear us for our children.

From the wordling’s hollow gladness,
From the sting of faithless sadness,
Father, Father, keep our children.

Through life’s troubles waters steer them;
Through life’s bitter battle cheer them;
Father, Father, be Thou near them.

Read the language of our longing,
Read the wordless pleadings thronging,
Holy Father, for our children.

And wherever they may bide,
Lead them Home at eventide.

Amen and Amen.

Thank you for joining with me in prayer.

Love,
Donna
