  1. I am suffering with a horrible cold this Mother's Day weekend. My mom always knew what to do to make me feel better! I love you, Mom.

    1. Sorry about your cold Barb - that is no fun at all. I remember when I was a teenager and had a horrible cold my Mom went out and brought me home Chinese Take Out -- ever since when I am suffering with a cold I crave Chinese food! The hot and sour soup really did make me feel better!

  2. Mother's Day can be bittersweet for sure.

I am grateful and happy to be a Mom to my grown kids.

My dear Mother has Alzheimer's, and she's not able to speak. I sure miss the lady she used to be.

This photo of your beautiful Mom and sister is absolutely precious.

(A good reminder to all of us to get in the picture :-)

Bless you, Donna - and thank you for your blog and the beauty you share.

    1. I'm sorry about your mother, Susan. That must be so difficult.

Give her a big hug and offer up a prayer.

    8. Late to the party, but offering up thanks for your mother, as she was and as she is. It is such a difficult road, Alzheimer's.

      Blessings on you and yours,

  8. Happy Mother's Day to you :-)

While I find the advertising and saccharine aspects of Mother's Day rather jarring, it is nice to have a day especially to remember my mum.

  11. I am so sorry that your Mom is not here to celebrate with you. I know you loved her very much. And she loved you. I am thankful for my mom. When I was hugging her goodbye last night I cried. I don't want time to keep marching on because I know the ones I love best will be taken from me. She told me to stop being silly.
