Weekend Update
Things just pretty much revolve around Katie, don't cha know.
This weekend we played in the year end tournament.
We did not come in last.
"We"
ha. The team Katie plays on.
The weather was spectacular.
Making fine catches at first base.
On a walk with Gin-nay.
I love this dog more and more.
Katie says next year they will be the same age.
Both 14.
That's funny.
And there were church bells.
No, the game was not in London.
It was in Sun Prairie.
I don't know what they were announcing this time at 2:00 on a Sunday afternoon...
but they sure sound magnificent to me.
Encourage one another,
Donna

I love the picture of Katie and Gin-nay running! One of the churches in my little town play their bells throughout the day. It's kind of comforting to hear, I think.
ReplyDeleteThe weather was spectacular in southern Iowa this weekend. Then, last night the storm blew through, but we woke up to sunshine this morning and no damage done to anything.
Sarah P. from Iowa
We had scary thunder that woke me up @ midnight.
ReplyDeleteSun this morning too.
Sounds like a wonderful weekend...nice to have some good weather for watching a game. I am glad to hear that Ginny is growing on you. She certainly looks like a good dog.
ReplyDeleteEmily is in Madison this morning...starting her summer job at WI Family Action :). She will stay with Grandma and Grandpa during the week.
Wow!!! I would love to see her. She needs to stop over some night!
ReplyDeleteI will tell her. Are you around on Sat. morning....we could pop by and say "hi!" Carrie and I will be visiting G&G on Friday night :).
DeleteSuch beautiful pictures! Did lay down to get the tree/sky picture or is that one big tree???
ReplyDeleteOK, so no talk of Call the Midwife? Did everyone not see it yet? Without any spoilers, I loved this episode. SO much. Love, love <3
Pat, I will watch it soon.
ReplyDeleteThat was a big tree :)
Amy W. YES. We are here Sat morning!!
ReplyDeleteCome by if you can!! Call me!!
Your "We" comment made me remember something my husband would say at our sons' hockey games when the parents would start complaining about a loss - "we should have skated harder" "we should shoot more" "we need a better goalie". Robert would say loudly enough for others to hear: "WE weren't on the ice." that would keep things quiet until the next losing game. lol
ReplyDeleteLove the photos as always! And loved hearing the church bells.
Love the picture of you and Katie ... WOW ... acorns do NOT drop far from the tree! Linda
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the tournament results! I'm so proud of you.....and of Katie, of course! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the pictures. I didn't fully appreciate the awesomeness of the running picture when I saw it on Instagram earlier. Ginny not only looks like she's flying, but that tongue and those ears!! Katie's long legs must serve her well in keeping up with Ginny!
Mary Z
Look at those legs!! ginny's and KATIEs!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love you more and more DOnna BOOshay
Hey Kathy.....that me running the dog.
ReplyDeleteIn my dreams.
Love you right back.
Oh these are great photos -- Especially Gin-nay running with Katie! LOVE it :-)
ReplyDeleteJust home from a 2 day trip down to the south of Switzerland with my sis-in-law. And we found some sunshine here and there along the way - yay!
God bless you Donna B
Hi---Love the pics----especially you and your baby girl !! She will always be your baby. If they have Sunday afternoon weddings there, a lot of people request the bells as the bride and groom leave the church. Speaking of bride and groom, have you seen the latest viral video? So very cute ! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?v=107595429447838
ReplyDeleteWe had tremendous rain Sat. nite into Sunday. 7 inches 45 mins. NE of us. We got about 4", in a short period of time, E of Atlanta. Our lakes are finally at "full Pool", a new expression for me at 64 years of age. I am keeping a list of new terminology, just to amuse myself.
We had a crazy busy magnificent wedding weekend where my husband and I were involved in weddings 500 miles apart. After a two hour debriefing conversation, we turned the TV on and lo! Call the Midwife was on an hour early.
ReplyDeleteWe watched it together and Curt was worked up about the way the storyline was going. Very dramatic. (the story, not my husband) Very hold-your-breath. Oh. my.
I'm loving your new Instagram app, Donna. Beautifulness, indeed.
I *wish* I had snapped a picture of my friend Caitlin at the wedding. A young mom, she wore high heels, a gathered skirt, and a feminine blouse. She would have fit into the cast of Call the Midwife; it was that look. So lovely.
Always love the family pics but am especially drawn to the one of the tree/sky/sun. I think after our loooooong winter, I'm so in love with sunshine, warm temps and blue skies.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing the church bells were for a wedding!! As always, great photos!!
ReplyDeleteDawn, it was Sunday at two.
ReplyDeleteSaturday they rang for a funeral.
