Quotes found on Pinterest

I sure like pinning quotes on my Pinterest board.  It is one of my favorite uses for Pinterest.
It is a pleasure for my eyes and for my heart.

This quote made me chuckle and say..."Yeah."

This one made me say..."whoa."

This one made me say..."Alrighty then."

This one made me think...."Does Anna know Steph and me?"

And well...this one is just so important to remember.

Lots of love,
Donna

  1. Quotes are my favorite thing.
    : )
    One of my favorite things.
So, I am trying to write court reports for next week and I am feeling so stressed and overwhelmed about the circumstances of the children with whom I work. I have cried no less than ten times this morning. I just prayed and asked God to give me peace, and when I opened my eyes I thought of you : ). This was exactly what I needed to read. Thank you.
I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
    Love, Becky

    1. Hi Becky - I don't know you except here at QLCS - just wanted to say "Peace to you" dear one and if I could I would give you a hug right now. Thank you for what you do for kids.

I love it when God gives us exactly what we need just at that moment. :-)

    *thanks*

  3. omigosh donna. I just guffawed SO loudly, and I'm doing a funeral bulletin, so it's quite the juxtaposition. :) She is us!!! Hysterical.

I'm gone for one more week.. and then.... home for the Advent stretch. Have maybe never experienced an autumn like this one... when everything good really does happen on the same day, at the same time, and I have to be at all of it. :/ Can we meet for a lunch when I get back? A long, salsa-infested lunch. :) Love you. Mean it.

    1. Are you staying in town for Thanksgiving? We'll figure it out. Either that week or the week after. Smooch.

  5. That stay together quote is PERFECT. When someone asks me how to stay married, I have been known to say, "Don't get divorced." I know that's not what everyone wants to hear, but that's one of my hills to die on (can you say, "Issues from childhood?")

And Anne Lamott..isn't she a riot?

Prayers for Becky as she does her heartbreaking work! May you have the peace you long for, and courage and strength and hope and maybe even joy.

    Love,
    Di

    2. FYI - I read your post to about 17 people on the phone today, Di. How do you stay married? Don't get divorced. That's what I'm talkin' about.

This is one of my favorite posts ever. Quotes like the ones you show are "heart attacks" in a good way…especially when my heart tries to not be open and loving. So, thank you each one here and Donna for lighting the way. Today I read a quote that spoke to me…by the poet John Vance Cheney, "The soul would have no rainbow had the eyes no tears."
love and prayers for you each one and all you do, jep

  8. Ohhh, I adore quotes on Pinterest......they say things so much better than I do.

My favorite of yours in this post has to be the last one because the first part comes out of my mouth frequently......"do what you feel in your heart to be right".....but my finish is usually something like...."-for your choices of today will be something that you will live with forever". So many times young adults are told to do this or that or the other thing so they make a decision from outside pressures and not what their hearts are telling them. And THEN they are criticized and they really fall apart. So, all that to say, Eleanor was right!

    Blessings,
    Tammy ~@~
