Turn that frown upside down

Bw

This is how my morning started.

When I got home I opened my email.  Jep sent a link to a beautiful set of portraits.

And then Stephie posted this video to her Facebook page.

That Stephen Colbert is too funny.

How does he know this song?
Those dance moves are impressive and ridiculous at the same time.

Sure to turn those frowns upside down.

Happy Monday Everyone!

Happy Thanksgiving Week! I love the Stephen Colbert video. Note that it looks like he's in a classroom of some sort. Could it be a Catholic school or church? (I've read that he does attend the Catholic church regularly.)

  5. He is a hoot!!! I love that he got out of breath (who wouldn't!) thanks for sharing Stephie and Donna!!

as for the snow - well, at least it's almost December. It goes along with the holidays. But driving in the white stuff is no fun. Bless your heart.

My husband's friend sent the portraits to us, but he only sent a few. Miz Boo, Queen of the Internet, found the main site. Oh, how those brown eyes speak to me. I wanted to just reach into the computer and give her a hug. And, SC dancing is just too funny…love and prayers, jep

P.S. That cold, snowy traffic picture is still Boucher touch lovely, we don't have the snow here, but we are having cold rain, blessed…but cold rain. Not suppose to get out of the 30's here today, people are so confused. We are staying in and staying warm…and thanking God for the rain. jep

This -- all of it -- was just what I needed this morning. Molly left on a Kairos retreat yesterday afternoon and, since she won't be home until Wednesday evening and doesn't have her phone, I already miss her and the daily fun she brings to my life. (I do feel very selfish since she was so looking forward to it!) Anyway, I am now smiling, so thanks! :)

And Stephen Colbert probably grew up singing this song as he was raised in a Catholic family. I've gone back to watch that several times -- so funny! And the little girl as the Girl with the Pearl Earring....... So gorgeous.

    2. Mary, I didn't know that was a Catholic song! I think of it as a camp song.
The whole thing is just so funny.

I understand completely about missing Molly. Sounds like a movie. Missing Molly.

Donna, I'm not liturgically sound enough to say whether it's a Catholic song, but we sure sang it in our Catholic school growing up -- with much enthusiasm, but sadly without Stephen's cool dance moves!!

    4. I learned it in our college ministry in th 80s. I think it was one of those messianic tunes that made the rounds. :) This video has charmed me a dozen times today. I love it!

  8. Oh no! That road looks treacherous. :(

It made me laugh when Stephen started laughing at himself!

    Off to see the pictures.

The portraits...I don't even have words. How creative to copy antiques paintings, etc., with a modern twist. I have never even heard of this photographer but how unbelievable (that must be his daughter? in her own right an amazing little model).
