Driving west toward Wisconsin last Thursday afternoon.
The light in this part of Iowa has delighted me more than once.
The road rides up high with farms on both sides of the road, slopping downward.
It's feels like flying a bit.
No trees to block the sun or the view.
It's my favorite place to drive...at the perfect time of day.
There are two ways of getting home; and
one of them is to stay there. The other is to
walk round the whole world til we come
back to the same place.

hat tip to Corey Amaro for the splendid quote
Be always coming home. :)
ReplyDeleteI typed. Home. first.
ReplyDeleteAnd then I typed. Going Home.
But it had to be...
Coming Home.
I love seeing the editing process, Donna. You are so right: it had to be Coming Home.
DeleteStill praying for Emma here.
The older I get. The more I just wanna be HOME!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful quote and photo. The blurred quality makes it seem as if the coming home is in a dream. So lovely.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Z.
"Be always coming home." is what I hope my children want to do as they get older. I still love to go to my mom's, but it kind of feels like home when I'm with her even if it's not at her home. Does that sound wacky?
ReplyDeleteI love this photo!
