Beautiful sentences.

Yesterday I spotted this list from Buzzfeed on my Twitter feed.
I loved reading it!  I think you will too.

51 of the most beautiful sentences in literature: Buzzfeed

But I want to do a QLCS version.

Because I think, while these are all beautiful sentences, indeed, the commenters from this blog will come up different ones that will be equally beautiful ..but they will have a certain quiet life tone.

Now that ^^^^ is a beautiful sentence!

I want to read your sentences too.

So I will leave this up for two days and then I will post all of the beautiful sentences on this blog.

Then we will all be 10% happier.

Lots of love friends!
I am so excited to read your favorite, beautiful sentences from literature.

Donna

p.s. Repeats from the Buzzfeed list are acceptable.

  1. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord.

That is the first one that came to mind. I'm going to think on this more.

  2. I have two, and they go together:

"We have to be braver than we think we can be, because God is constantly calling us to be more than we are" Madeleine L'Engle - Walking on Water

    ~ and

"You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." Christopher Robin to Pooh.

Ah, the encouragement of a true friend.

And the urging to press forward that we hear from the Lord himself.

Thanks for this place of sharing, Donna. Now ... time to drink my coffee xxx

  4. I'll limit myself to one biblical sentence -- that will be hard! - but I will:

We have seen His glory, the glory of the One and Only, who comes from the Father, full of grace and truth.

I came here last night and it sent me down the rabbit hole of taking books off my shelves and looking for my favorite passages. It was wonderful! I have quotes from Charles Dickens, E.B. White, A.A. Milne, J.K. Rowling, Jane Austen, L.M. Montgomery, Leon Uris, Louisa May Alcott and so many others! Don’t want to hijack the comments section and put them all, but I will try to narrow it down to my absolute favorites soon. :)
