JV. YAY!

We searched and searched to find a shirt with Katie's name on the back. Thank you cousin Ellie 😉 #oneofakind

She made the team.  Hooray for JV!
She says they have a great group of girls on the team!

I have been so stressed out about it.
Being a mom is so dang hard sometimes.

You know that part about our hearts walking around outside our bodies.

Truth.
Truth.

Big true truth!

Final game. Happy winners lap around the bases!

I loved being a part of a team.

Katie does too...and so I want what she wants.

Way to go Katie Gracie Boucher!
I am proud of your hard work and your fantastic attitude!

When they start the game, they don't yell, "Work ball." They say, "Play ball." ~Willie Stargell, 1981

Play ball!

  4. Oh man. Everything about this is just right and well said. Baseball and heartbreaks, you love one and dread the other, even as a grandma. Go Katie!

Thank you, Betty Smith for that lovely quote. It is exactly how I am feeling today as I dropped my boy off for church Jr. High winter camp today. Ugggh. He is leaving the state without me, which is easier to handle than the fact that he is spending the weekend with other middle schoolers. Ack!
