Bring a Pasta Salad

Yes.  That's what we were told.  Bring a pasta salad to the volleyball picnic.

Now.  I don't make pasta salads usually except one really weird one that my family makes.
It has hard boiled eggs and celery and green olives, mayo, creamettes and Lawry's.

It's kind of icky and kind of delicious to me.

But I really couldn't see teens liking it.

So I looked on Pinterest for a salad.  I have had terrible luck with on line recipes lately...so I wrote,
Pasta Salad Pioneer Woman.

And this is what I found.
This is what I made.

And I am happy about it.

It is going on the 'make it again list' and' whenever I need a pasta salad list'.

I love how light the dressing is.
I love the spicy pickles.
It sounds weird.
But it is very good!

Try it.
You'll like it.

This is Ree's picture.

Here is the link to the recipe:

Easy and tasty,
Donna

  4. The one you describe sounds exactly like what my grandmother and aunts made in Minnesota when I was young. I remember that it was really good!

I would try that spicy pickle pasta salad. on a boat, in a moat in a plane, on a train, in a house, at a volleyball picnic. green onion makes it look pretty. I was squeezing tangerines and limes for a homemade yuzu juice cocktail last night....why oh why did I pick such a complicated recipe for this party.

    1. Oh I just love you Emma! Emma - do you ever realize that people all over the world love you and your family because of your Mom's blog and how easily and beautifully she shares her life's stories and in turn yours, and just think it's a bit odd for a total stranger to say they love you? Cause we all do! :) In a totally non-creepy, non-stalker-ish kind of way, of course!
