Friday was homecoming at many schools around the state. I see my sister's children heading off to dances in the Instagram feed. Katie and her friends went to a local game.
The local school's colors are orange and black.
Saturday and Sunday were filled with volleyball games and club tryouts.
The girls won their first game of the season! (school team) They played the best I have seen. It was so exciting.
Tryouts went well. Katie got an offer and she is looking forward to play with the OTT (over the top) club again this year.
We played at home. Don't you love our 'mascots'? They are Friars, slam dunking.
How can I forget the Packers. They played and won too.
Yay team.
Looking forward to a beautiful fall week!
God Bless!
Encourage one another,
Donna
Love the flying slam-dunking Friars :-) Congrats to Katie on the win AND the OTT Club !
ReplyDeleteLove those friars, too! Yes, congratulations, Katie!
DeleteYay, Katie!! Congrats on playing well and on making the club team! I hope your club season is fun and that you grow as a player and learn a lot before high school. Volleyball is pretty awesome. :)
ReplyDeleteThose friars are so funny. They look like they could be playing in a Disney movie or something.
It's Homecoming week for Molly this week. She's pretty excited about all the activities, the game on Friday and the dance on Saturday. I love this time of year.

Great comment Mary Z---the Flying Friars---sounds almost like The Frying Fryers, as in chickens !! (with a little accent or lisp). Sally Field where are you? Katie's time for homecoming is around the corner. As her cyber aunt, I am glad to see her with her team and dog. You will be snapping pics oh too soon of our lovely Katie in a formal.
ReplyDeleteYou just gotta love an old Catholic school. Go Friars!! :-)
ReplyDeleteWay to go Katie! Let the good times roll!
ReplyDeleteI love your mascot! It's just about the opposite of my hometown's...blue demons. Ha!
Love,
Sarah P. from Iowa
Love those basketball playing friars! It's almost like your very own Touchdown Jesus like at Notre Dame. :)
ReplyDeleteAmanda, When we stopped to visit Notre Dame we took a picture in front of touchdown Jesus. He is very special, isn't he? :o)
ReplyDeleteFriers slam dunking! I LOVE it.
ReplyDeleteSo, I met a girl named Amandalynn Jones who is a photographer that lives close to you. She said she wants to be your friend but is intimidated. I told her that is INSANE IN THE MEMBRANE. I told her you are the least intimidating girl in the world.
I want you to come to the I heart faces conference next year. What can I say to convince you to come?
