The Cat/Bat Hat by Suzo

Katie likes to go to a teen meeting called Wyldlife.  It is affiliated with Young Life.   The meetings are on Monday nights.  Monday afternoon the leaders let the kids know that the theme was Super Heros this week.  That is not really much time to come up with something.  But since we have this trusty velour cat/bat....I suggested Katie be Cat Woman.

It is a family tradition to be a cat or a bat at least once.

I bought this darling, well made cat/bat hat along with a bat cape in 1985.   I got a little catalog in the mail  with the most precious, hand made Halloween costumes called Suzo.  Suzo was way ahead of the times.  Sadly she went out of business before the HUGE Halloween fad hit our country.

But Suzo should know that her beautifully made costume was lovingly saved and used again and again.

    Brandon and Steven BOTH wore this cat/bat costume for Halloween when they were little! :) Steven was a 'hot clown' (Nancy made the costume) and Brandon was the cat! THEN Steven wore the cat/bat outfit and his bestest lil' buddy Megan McCabe were twin cats for pre-school. (Martha made Megan's outfit to match yours!) It has quite a history! XO
