Quiet Life

Blowy. Glowy. Snowy.

It's nice that Christmas can be quiet.
We party and shop and work and play all the way up until Christmas and then it's nice and quiet on  Christmas and then a few days afterward.

All we hear is the jingle of bells.

"Please take this scary collar off." ~Ginny Potter Harper Daisy Glyman Boucher

Emma bought this for Ginny.

Jingle dog all the way.

Thanks for stopping by today and thank you for the kind and thoughtful comments you left since Monday.

I do read then you know.

Talk to you tomorrow.

Love,
Donna

  1. Hi Donna, I simply love this pic of Ginny - but she looks like she can't wait to have it off!

I love the quiet time after the really busy times ... moments to savor, for sure. xxx

Snow and evergreen trees just make a beautiful Quiet Life Christmas. It was a surprise to my Southern ears to listen to the snow…so very different than our rains…so quiet and reverent. Ginny is looking right at you like a good doggy…her eyes are on the one she loves and she looks so cute. Like Susan…savoring moments and sending love and prayers, jep

Just remembered, we sang "The snow lay on the ground" at our Christmas eve service: "Venite adoremus Dominum." I have been humming that all morning…now I have a visual to go with the song. ;-) Thank you! jep

  3. Ginny is adorable!

I took a midnight walk in the snow with my 21 year old son last night. It was so quiet and beautiful. It was a very special moment for this Mom. :-)

  4. Our family was just remembering our "growing up" Christmases over our meal last night. For me, we did presents and church on Christmas Eve. Christmas Day there was nothing left, so more often than not my parents had us all pitch in on some big project around the house - like putting in a suspended ceiling, or tearing out tile! I'm happy to say nowadays I'm more likely to set out a puzzle on Boxing Day so we can enjoy each others' company a little longer. Love seeing your poochie picture update, Donna! Give her a scritch from Colorado.

  5. Merry Christmas! I so love the jingle bell collar! How inventive and cute! (Although our Border Collies would hate wearing it - your Ginny is sure cute in it!)

  6. I love your camera lenses. The photos on this page are just so divine. Great gift from Emma! Christmas was hard this year but today it's quiet. Tomorrow morning, very early, I leave for a 2-night stay in New York City. And I don't even want to go, but am making myself. I just want to stay here, where it's quiet.

Hi Donna and Emma and Katie and Ginny!

    Hi friends!

It is peaceful and kinda quiet here in southern Iowa. Sophia has a friend over to play with today. Singing praises of joy! : )

  9. Sweet Ginny. I can hear this little doggie voice saying, "Help me! Puhleaze!" But she is darling, and it is always good to know where the dog is in our house. In the toilet? Garbage? Eating stocking stuffers? Good to know (-:

    Merry Christmas, all!

Back when I was a child, my mother tied bells on my shoes…not correct to do now, but at least she could keep up with me. Where was I? Eating with the dog out of her bowl most likely. :p jep
