This and that.

#faceq look! I'm a cute cartoon :o)

I made this darling cartoon with FaceQ .
Of course I learned about this free app from Katie.
It's very fun.

Here is Emma :o)
She loves bananas!

Hello lil' fox.  My husband took this picture from his office on Sat morning. He knew I'd love to see it!!

Patrick took this picture the other morning at work...right outside his window.
Every once in a while we are reminded that we live in the country.

New dress for school. #lovesclothes

Katie was voted to be Co-Captain of her volleyball team.
We are pretty darn proud of her.

We have been school shopping in the last few weeks.
Somebody is very excited to wear her new things.

I added a step tracking app to my phone.  It's called Withings.  Emma's friend Jen told her about it....
I'll let you know how it goes.  I am currently at 73 steps.

Encourage one another,
Donna

Very cute dress Katie ! Donna I love that you didn't stage your house for this photo, the shoes, the broom the stuff on the table , very real! I sometimes get discouraged after looking at all the homes on the net. Thanks for being you.

    1. Oh Beckie! I didn't notice it all until I saw the picture larger. But really...
I walk past it all the time so it's no wonder I didn't notice it. The broom is on the garbage can so Ginny stays away. She is afraid of the broom! It is a happy day and beautiful sight when I get the table cleared off!!!

I agree with Beckie, I thought the same thing. Looks like my house. Yes, thanks for keepin' it real.
I think Sophie and I could have a lot of fun with that free app. Adorable! Patrick has a pretty view from his window. The fox looks pretty lean and there must not be any chicken coops around.
Congrats, Miss Katie! I think you are going to have a great freshman year.
I am interested to hear how the step tracker goes, Donna. : ) Good luck!

  3. Go Katie! Co-captain, dressed for success! It's going to be a great year.

    Go Donna! I'm hearing Bill Murray's voice..."Babysteps...."

And Patrick...nice little patio! With or without Mr. Fox, who is quite lovely by the way. Especially since he is not eating anyone's chickens at that moment!

    Happy Thursday all,
    Di

    1. He is a tall skinny fox, I think. Poor baby better find some chickens fast...winter is a coming and it looks fierce. Perhaps Patrick need to take him food.

So happy for Katie. She is level headed and calm - good qualities in a team captain. Here's to a great vball season!

How exciting for Katie and what an honor to be voted co-captain for her first year in the new school! Love the dress and love the fox. We used to seem them in the country. They didn't scare me like coyotes did. :) The smaller the cuter, I guess.

  6. Congratulations on being elected Co captain! That is fantastic. I loved shopping with Bria this year. It is so fun shopping with a willing participant! ; ) my kiddos started on Monday. They are glad they can sleep in tomorrow.

  7. We used to have foxes in our neighborhood. They are now gone due to development and we have dozens of rabbits in our tiny little yard, eating the grass and burrowing around our foundation. The babies are cute but I'd rather have foxes!

  9. Yay for Katie! That's fabulous! You're raising a leader, Mama.

That cartoon of Emma is spot on. I didn't know about the bananas, but I think I could have picked it out of a line up. ;)

Yes, that poor fox needs some food. It will be quite a while before cold weather hits us. I can't imagine bracing for it in August or September.

Keepin' it real. You should see my house right now. No, I guess you shouldn't.

Congrats to Katie! It is an honor and one she'll live up to, I'm sure. Good luck on her first match -- and at her new school! Have fun with the new clothes, too! Molly is thrilled to be able to wear what she wants after 13 straight years of uniforms! :)

Thanks for the tip on the free app. I made a cartoon Mary on my lunch hour. You and Emma look adorable!

Patrick is pretty good with a camera, too. Must run in the family!
