Sorry I've been gone for so long.
I've been super busy and took an unexpected trip to Chicago on Sunday/Monday.
Emma came home for a wedding. The bride and groom are long time homeschooling friends.
Emma was especially close to the groom and his family; his sister is her best friend and his brother was in India with her.
I was Emma's plus one.
We saw so many old friends. It was really fantastic!
They included a song from The Hobbit or Lord of the Rings in the ceremony and this was a perfect, nerdy, fun touch :o)
So pretty, Emma.
Please pray extra hard for Emma. She is going thru a great deal of stress and has some new challenges.
Thank you very much.
We ate these yesterday morning. Oh gosh. Very delicious.
Em's new friends opened a great restaurant. It's called Baker. Miller.
4610 N. Western
Chicago....
Lincoln Square neighborhood.
Baker. Miller
They are creative. For breakfast you can have fabulous oatmeal and for lunch you can have grain bowls or plowman's lunches. Everything is healthy and natural and you know...all those things that are extra good for you.
If you are in Chicago. Try it out.
You can sit here.
:o)
Miss you.
Mean it.
Encourage one another,
Donna
I'm not gonna lie...I was having Miz Donna withdrawals. lol You are just part of my daily routine. Then I tell myself....you have a life too! Glad you're back.
ReplyDeleteNone of the pictures are showing up on my computer?
Glad you and Emma were able to spend time together and have fun. I will pray for her.
I can't wait to go to Chicago someday.
Wishing everyone peace and comfort this Monday morning,
Sarah P. from Iowa
I can see the pics now!

Hello!
ReplyDeleteYou gals both look lovely in the wedding-going photo. Such pretty hair, too.
Cool about the place in Lincoln Square - I will tell my daughter.
I'm about to do some ironing, and will pray for Emma. Lord, ease her stress and give her peace. It's a privilege to lift her up.
Glad to have you back!

Sweet beautiful Emma---sometimes, in life, we get busy with our eyes on the prize and taking care of others that we forget about ourselves. Slow down, take a deep breath, rewind, and just be. May you get time to relax soon! Thinking of you!
ReplyDeleteI would love to pray for Emma. She feels like part of the family.
ReplyDeleteAnd I think I need to print a copy of that Donna Booshay art (the three chairs) for my kitchen. May I? I have the perfect quote for it: "I had three chairs in my house; one for solitude, two for friendship, three for society." (Henry David Thoreau).
Or you could just put it in your famous calendar (-: Heh heh heh.
I am not going to think too much about that cinnamon roll. Oh.my.word. Yumola, but only in my dreams.
Hump DAY!
Di
Well, it's Tuesday, isn't it? In a hurry much? Happy EARLY hump day.

Yes, you may print it. It's Instagram so it won't grow real big. Let me know if you need a file
DeletePraying for Emma, that the stresses she is dealing with will become less stressful and that she will feel the presence of Jesus, giving her strength for all that is ahead of her. She is such a lovely girl and her sweet spirit is so apparent in photos. And Donna, I love your hair. You look fabulous.

Oh, so fun! Being a plus one is always exciting.
ReplyDeleteThat cinnamon roll looks ridiculously good. My Mom makes cinnamon rolls. They are very yummy. She doesn't put icing on hers though.
I will pray for Emma right now. May God be with her.
Praying for Emma indeed. She looks beautiful in the picture - and Donna, you do, too! I am so glad you are making the effort to be in the pictures. I remember that conversation from way back and I try to get in the picture, too. I LOVE your hair style and color.
ReplyDeleteLove your hair! I see Katie's smile comes from you :)

Dear God, Please bless Emma with Your grace for her life in every situation. Amen
ReplyDeletelove and prayers and thanksgiving for your fun wedding as a plus one, jep
I missed you!
ReplyDeletePraying for Emma. Yes, she is beautiful and I love the picture of both of you.
Our wedding is this weekend! I'm trying not to have a full blown panic attack over things that need to be completed before Friday. We took a trip to the fair today to help with that. ;) Still haven't made a firm decision on the mother/son song. ACK!
Peace to you, Southern Gal :-)
DeleteYour sweet Emma girl will be in my prayers, Donna! There's nothing God can't handle and He always handles it better than we could ever do it.
ReplyDeleteI'm guessing Baker Miller isn't gluten free, eh? And I've already been in conversation with you about that cinnamon roll.......so glad I just ate or it would be causing problems for me again! lol
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~

ReplyDeleteI just google mapped this place, and it's 1 1/2 miles from where my daughter lives ... a 30 min. walk. Hmmmm I think I'll have to go and check it out the next time I'm in Chicago :-)
Let me know what you think or invite me along :) they are also the former owner's of Bang Bang Pie if you've ever heard of it.
DeleteThank you for the prayers and love... they have been felt so far. I'm feeling extra grateful this morning.
Yes, good plan! I'll be in touch.
Deleteglad the prayers are being effective and you are feeling encouraged. Thanks be to God!

they say a mom is only as happy as their least happy child. may your least happy child become joyful so that you can enjoy the beauty of the autumn season.
ReplyDeleteI look forward to checking out Baker.Miller!
ReplyDeleteHonored to pray for Emma. I'm on it!!
