I woke up at seven this morning and checked my phone....
I had one message on my phone from someone just like me....
It's a girl whoop whoop
~cheryl
Catherine checked in to the hospital at 6:00 and delivered baby girl Windsor at 8:34.
The little Princess weighed in at a whopping 8 pounds and 3 ounces!
Well done, you!
God bless one and all!
UPDATE:
William brings George by to meet his little sister and to see Mummy.
And look! Just a few hours later, Kate and William bring their little baby out to say hello to the crowd.
AND then they head home!!! What the heck!?
Catherine is incredible!
Encourage one another,
Donna

I was up at 3am and saw it on fox Twitter! I knew you'd be so happy. :). A princess!!!
ReplyDeleteFabulous news!! Joy joy joy :-)
ReplyDeleteA princess is born. I was so excited to hear the news! I thought of you and knew you would be posting, but my feed was late.
ReplyDeleteYea! A girl. So exciting. And Kate was only in the hospital 5 hours? And comes out looking absolutely gorgeous? The stuff of fairy tales for sure, and so thrilling for all of us to see that perfect baby in her arms. They just seem like the nicest family ever.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Z.
Wonder what the name will be?
ReplyDeleteGreat news...as soon as I heard I came here to see what you had posted.

I can not believe it? There must be magic in that hospital!!!
DeleteGirl needs to have lots and lots of babies!
And, she is wearing heels!
DeleteI am so impressed. jep
Exactly...heels!
DeleteDebbie Z.
heels! and walking down steps! glowing! My husband said, "don't forget she had someone to do her hair and makeup!" and I said, yes, but no one had that baby for her, and wore those heels, and walked down those steps!
DeleteI knew I could count on you Donna, to get all of the pictures for us! :) Miss you!
DeleteSo elegant and beautiful. Hope their darling daughter has Diana's name in there somewhere. Karen F.
ReplyDeleteMelanie, when Scarlette had Bonnie Blue. This was such good news today.
ReplyDeleteHere it is, after 9:30pm EDT and I have just heard the news from your blog, Donna! I'm so glad you posted this!!
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet picture of the baby. How quick was that!?! My husband says why not go home? She has an entourage to take care of her and the baby. My daughter says she stays in the hospital as long as she can because its where she's treated like royalty. ;)

DeleteI knew you would be happy. I could not believe how fantastic she looked and felt just hours after having the baby. Amazing! I work in the hospital one day a week photographing newborns. I have had only one mother that felt anything like that in 4 years.
ReplyDeleteSo fun!! I hope she has Diana in her name!! I kind of feel like all of England feels that way!!
ReplyDeleteI appreciate all the delight in the birth of their baby girl, but please remember that photo ops of celebrity figures are a lot of smoke and mirrors. Catherine does look beautiful but no woman is super woman. I feel sorry for her that she had to get out of bed to put on heels and make up and do that. She should have been snuggling in bed with her baby with guards at the door keeping everyone out. I'm always a dissenter but it must be very hard for her to not be able to do that- snuggle, sleep, nurse and kiss on her newborn without world wide attention. I hope she went straight home to bed after that presentation.
ReplyDeleteHers is not a typical life, and she signed on for it. No doubt she put on her yoga pants as soon as she got home. Aren't they going to her parent's home? She'll be blissfully relaxed there, no doubt.
DeleteI loved how William spoke into George's ear as he walked (soothing any fears of the crowd) and then the little kiss on the head--you can tell he's a hands-on dad.:)
