Do you remember that big hedge of lilacs on our way home from school? We would bring armloads home to our mothers. I miss lilacs, don't have them in the south.
We have purple lilacs and they are bursting out all over bush/tree(?) now! I have a disability- hard to get out- so my husband brought some in for me. Oh the smell! Their indoor life is so short. But I love, love, love them! Happy Day to you!
My bush has not bloomed yet. When it does bloom, it is my favorite part of spring. :) Any day now, the flowers should be opening and the smell...oh the smell is heaven sent!

ReplyDeleteI smelled lilacs yesterday and told my husband, "That is the smell of my childhood." I have so many memories of picking lilacs with my friends!
