Once upon a time a little girl was born. They called her Booba because she chubbed up so nicely.
She was a happy little girl.
Her shoes were scuffed then
and they are now.
But she has never cared too much about that sort of thing.
She is just happy to be here,
loving and playing and skipping along.
Encourage one another,
Booba.

ReplyDeleteHAPPY BIRTHDAY, Donna Elsie Booba! So glad you are here in this spinning universe, helping me to laugh and know about pop culture, and to remember the things that are really important: loving each other, having hope even when life is hard, and being just exactly who God called us to be! Much love to you this day and always,

ReplyDeleteI have been trying to keep up with my girls' schoolwork, and then other things after school hours (my son's homework, dishes...I don't even make it to the store...blah!) and I have been missing your blog. So, now I am catching up. Take care this birthday weekend!!
I was a few days behind reading, but apparently we share a birthday! How have I not realized this before? I have been reading your lovely blog for several years! Hope you enjoyed your day....from the posts, it looks like you did!
ReplyDeleteDear Booba,
ReplyDeleteThe very first time I saw an image you took, I felt overwhelmed by your connection with your subject. I think you see people in a very special way. All the technical things in the world can't help someone achieve that connection.
I love that you have had a beautiful life with lots of scuffed shoes. It seems like having scuffed shoes might be the best way to live life to me.
Happy Belated Birthday! Not been on for a while again, ugh! You also share a birthday with my son who was 29 on the 27th. :-) Enjoy your blog, WHEN I get on here! Wendy
