You won't believe this. I forgot to blog this morning.
Ginny and I are having so much fun knocking around the place by ourselves....
Do you forget things when you are off your routine?
I do.
“My therapist told me the way to achieve true inner peace is to finish what I start. So far today, I have finished 2 bags of M&M's and a chocolate cake. I feel better already.”
~Dave Barry
“You rarely have time for everything you want in this life, so you need to make choices. And hopefully your choices can come from a deep sense of who you are. ”
~Fred Rogers
It's so much easier to be happy. It's so much easier to choose to love the things that you have, instead of always yearning for what you're missing, or what it is that you're imagining you're missing. It is so much more peaceful.”
~One True Thing
Encourage one another,
Donna
I adore the portrait of yourself. You look BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the photo of you- so much peace and joy there.
ReplyDeleteDebbie Z.
That's got to be one of the best "selfies" I've ever seen. :-) Glad you're enjoying your alone time.
ReplyDeleteI could eat a chocolate cake right about now. That would make me happy.
ReplyDeleteI agree with the others above, I love your photo, too. : ) It is peaceful and happy and pretty.
Let yo light shine,
Sarah P. from Iowa
Dave Barry always makes me laugh! Love your pic, Donna. Such a sweet smile.
ReplyDeleteLove,
Di
Selfie of you. Selfie of Ginny?
ReplyDeleteHope you are having a fun week. I love being home alone...it rarely happens, but I know those days will be coming. Then I will wish someone was home with me. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteI must of distracted you with all of my phone calls... I like that picture of you. I like that picture of ginny. I like all the quotes.
ReplyDeletemy new roommates boyfriend is a social media guru and has been speaking all week in Chicago. he is very impressed an fascinated that you have been blogging for 10 years. i let him wear my slipper out to walk Kato this morning (they are dad's old ones)
that's my story.

Gorgeous photo.
ReplyDeleteSweet puppy.
I'm up north, so all is well.
It's Beef-a-Rama weekend, after all!! :)
Lots of dear friends, jill, my besties who were my bridesmaids... I'm living in abundance and working on a heart of gratitude to appreciate it all.
I think I will like the days of knocking around the house on my own. But I say that now, when I'm still consumed with littles who suddenly aren't so little anymore.....
Love you. Mean it!
Yay for Beef-A-Rama weekend, Steph! Are you going to wander into town this year? Love to see you if you do since it would be hard for me to get out your way.....
DeleteBlessings,
Tammy
Beautiful selfie. And Ginny doesn't look too bad either.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing the quotes. The 2nd and 3rd are deep and meaningful, but the Dave Barry one is my fave.
Mary Z
Super super selfie :-) I love One True Thing - I can just hear Meryl (wonderful Meryl) speaking those words.
ReplyDeleteMmmmm chocolate :-)
Reading those quotes......it all comes down to true contentment, doesn't it? The world certainly likes us to battle with all the things it has to offer when it's the simplest things that bring us peace and heartfelt contentment.
ReplyDeleteAhhhhh......
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
I missed you this morning!
ReplyDeleteLove the pic. :)
Donna, I wondered yesterday and I wonder today. Did you get your hair cut?
ReplyDeleteYes. I didn't put it on facebook because i went to a different girl and I didn't want to make my old girl feel bad. I'm not happy with the color...it is too dark but the cut is fine.
DeleteMe likes the hair...
DeleteP.s. did not comment on the "do you ever forget things when you get out of routine" question. You have no idea. All I do is forget until it becomes a rut. That is why I have used chalkboard paint to make places to remind myself. It has reached epidemic proportions here. Someday John will see "breathe" on the reminder list and panic!
ReplyDeleteGinny's nose
ReplyDeleteDonna's smile
beautiful quotes....all some of my favorite things
We use our phone calendars, a paper written in calendar, post it notes on the mirror in the bathroom and can still be doing one thing totally unaware of what it is we are suppose to be doing. So, yes getting out of our routine really throws things off around here.
love and prayers and like your hair, jep
Hi. Just popped over from Little House Lisa's sidebar. :-)
ReplyDeleteThe quote you have from One True Thing is one of my favorite quotes ever. I rewind the movie when I watch it just so I can hear it again. Great fall movie!

you selfie looks like a sunrise, just beautiful
ReplyDeleteOh, a beautiful picture!
ReplyDeleteAnd that Dave Barry quote! bahahaha! I love it.
I think you are so beautiful.
ReplyDeleteReally.
You are one of the most beautiful girls I know.
You are my favorite photographer.
And one of my favorite moms.
So, speaking of M&M's, they have pumpkin spice ones now. WHAT? How crazy is that? I don't know if that sounds good. Knowing me though, even if I didn't like them, I would eat the entire bag and then go and buy another one. Food is a problem for me.
