Do you remember that big hedge of lilacs on our way home from school? We would bring armloads home to our mothers. I miss lilacs, don't have them in the south.

We had lilacs in WY and they were so lovely.
I spy a heart shaped leaf just up from the blossoms in your photograph. ;-)

We have purple lilacs and they are bursting out all over bush/tree(?) now! I have a disability- hard to get out- so my husband brought some in for me. Oh the smell! Their indoor life is so short. But I love, love, love them! Happy Day to you!

  6. My bush has not bloomed yet. When it does bloom, it is my favorite part of spring. :) Any day now, the flowers should be opening and the smell...oh the smell is heaven sent!

I smelled lilacs yesterday and told my husband, "That is the smell of my childhood." I have so many memories of picking lilacs with my friends!
