  1. I LOVE this! Love, Love, LOVE! Sabriah is here right now and I am going to see if we can do this with her hair. It is in long braids right now.

Katie is so adorable. I just want to hug her. And Ginny! Ginny is the best helper around.

Sending love all the way from Philly to Wisconsin this morning.

  2. Katie is amazing - she makes it look so easy! I love how it looks, and loved yours yesterday Donna.

side note: Katie's voice is more grown up than I imagined! She is a good teacher.

And Ginny -- there with the moral support :-)

    1. I was surprised about Katie's grown up voice when I first heard her on one of Donna's Vine videos. Emma's voice isn't what I expected either (but then, my own voice always surprises me when I hear it too!).

Thanks for the tutorial Miss Katie and Donna! I just tried the sock bun on Sophia and it worked. I love it!

  4. I've always wondered how sock buns work. Kudos to Katie for getting it to look nice. I'm sure I'd have multiple issues if I tried it (it usually takes several tries to get a French braid to look right; it always tends to pull to one side at the bottom because I bring it forward over my shoulder to finish it--also Katie doesn't have to deal with grays that go "sproing"). Won't be doing either for awhile because I just cut off 5-6" for summer :)

  7. LOVE it!! Thanks to you and Katie for the demonstration. What a good sport she is! My 5 year-old is going to be the flower girl in her aunt's wedding next weekend and wants a "ballerina bun" (which is only what I can assume she's referring to something like this as). And here you are with a fabulous tutorial!! Katie was a doll and your color commentary was awesome, Donna. Your voice is so sweet. It reminds me of my growing up years in Illinois. Makes me want to come have an iced tea with you. :-)

  8. How stinkin' cute it Katie?!!! I've seen videos on how to do that, but to be honest, Katie's is the best!! Very simple!
    Loved your big bun, too!

Glad you and your visitors had a good time!!

    Hugs,
    E.

You are a gracious host, Donna. It was delightful to sit and kibbutz. How many times do we connect with someone online and think, "How great would it be to sit a cross the table and visit face to face..."?

I feel so blessed to have that with you. It was simply wonderful. Thank you very much.

Katie and the tutorial- adorable. What a sweet girl. And your hair looks great in the sock bun too, Donna! Love it....and I wish I had the amazingly thick hair that seems to run in the Boucher family. : )

  17. My 7 yr old daughter will love this, though her hair is not ss long as Katie's..I doubt I'll be able to make it work! I love knowing that hundreds or even thousands of women are walking around right now with socks hidden in their hair =) Thanks for the super cute tutorial. It sure beats the "Hot Buns" commercial on tv (same concept and my daughter wanted me to buy her a product with that name !)
