Fake.

I got this in my email this morning.

It looks very official.  BUT.  It is not.  It's a scam.

Before you click on ANY emails that look official but are unexpected do a quick search to see if this is a common scam.

I googled "google suspicious sign in prevented".

I had my answer immediately.  It's fake.

I have also had two or three emails from the post office saying I missed a package.
This is also a scam.

Some people are crooks.
Be careful out there.

Encourage one another,
Donna

  4. I just had an epiphany. I think the reason you are so loved, Miz Boo, is that you are genuine in a world of fakes. Love you!

    "Word" to Carol's epiphany above.

It is too bad that we can't be trusting when that may be our natural inclination. Boo hiss to mean, bad people.

Thanks for the warning. I have gotten several of those emails about packages that can't be delivered and I immediately felt uneasy about them and deleted them and didn't click on any links. They looked very official. It is so horrible that we have to worry about such things. There are negatives with the Internet, and then there are wonderful things like your blog that I enjoy so much. : )

  7. There's one from Yahoo mail, too. I figure if there's something up it will be in the news. Otherwise I just delete those type emails. I always wonder what would possess someone to spend their time trying to spread computer viruses. I know the answer, but I want to believe differently. Thank the Lord there are good people out there, too. ;)

  8. I'm always getting the one about someone trying to break into your paypal account! It's a bummer that there are people out there that do these things. Great tip to check it on google, thanks!

It is sad that some people use their creative minds to think up hurtful activities instead of using them for good. At my dad's assisted care facility one lady got a phone call that she had not paid her utilities and she gave them her credit card number. It was a scam, all the utilities are paid by the facility. Dad says if he does not recognize the voice, he hangs up. And, sometimes he hangs up on family members, so we have to be quick to make sure he knows it is us. ;-)
love and prayers and thanksgiving for good creative folks in the world, jep

  11. Add to the list of scams, twice I've gotten one from what appears to be Amazon.com in regards to an order. I double checked my order status on my own (not using the link in the email) and confirmed I had nothing for the date the email stated. I then googled it and, yep! it's a scam.

  13. Drives me nuts!! Having said that, I was telling my daughter recently "oh Paypal supposedly had problems with that virus and I have to change my password, ha ha".... and she told me it was true! lol I've become so wary. If I ever have a doubt about my bank or Paypal I go to their website, I do NOT click on a link in an email.....
