Good and tired.
We had all sorts of weather.
The girls played Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. They played well when you consider they just became team mates on Monday prior to the tournament. That sounds odd but there are not a lot of players around here and Katie's team mate was a great sport to step in and take on this big challenge.
They did not win much but Katie loves to play. I mean it. She really loves it. With only two on a team you get to hit the ball every single play. For Katie this is the best part!
So it was a fantastic experience!
She was so hungry.
She is so nutty.
It's sure a nice play to play.
Happy Monday friends!

Hello! Just taking a break from ironing :-P to peek at the internet. And you are here!!
ReplyDeleteOh I do love your photos of the beach. I am so impressed and proud of your dear Katie and her teammate - that takes huge stamina and guts, I'm thinkin'!!! So glad she loves it.
I kept imagining you at the beach - cheering them on - this weekend. That can be exhausting too!
Rest up now :-)
hugs,
Mrs. Munich a.k.a. Susan
Susan, I have been thinking about your moniker for here and come up with a sorry to say poor at best list:
DeleteFrau Susan or as your name is in German Frau Susanne
Fraulein Susanne
Liebchen (Dear One)
Brieffreund (pen pal)
See, not very inventive, but maybe it will encourage someone else here or you to think of something better. My only real knowledge of German is a phrase a friend taking German in high school taught me...Vorsicht bissiger hund! (Beware the dog)
love and prayers, jep
PS I like Mrs. Munich! Now instead of hot chocolate, I think of M&Ms.

Your suggestions are dandy, dear jep!
DeleteI love that you thought of Liebchen - how nice is that! Brieffreund is good too.
mmmm M & M's - now I"m hungry!
hugs, Susanne :-)
Seeing those lovely photographs of Katie and her new partner reminded me of a saying by Raggedy Ann via Johnny Gruelle: "When you meet anyone, just stop and think, 'How can I show this person that I am a friend?' A little teeny voice inside you will tell you just how you can do it." Katie seems to hear that voice inside her and make friends so well. ;-)
ReplyDeleteSo thankful that you had a good weekend and are home safe and sound.
love and prayers, jep
What a weird summer we are having... Im wrapped up in a blanket with the windows open here in Chicago. Oddly enough, I don't hate it.
ReplyDeleteI hope Katie gets to play some great volleyball in high school! She will have so much fun.
I love the style of your fist picture, DOnna. It seems to be in 3D !
ReplyDeleteHow fun for Katie! Way to go!
ReplyDeleteHave never been to Wisconsin, but would love to come up and visit all the pretty places. The beach looks huge.
Great photos. Love me a chocolate malt.
Sarah P. from Iowa
Yay for Katie! Yup, that's the bonus you get when playing on a two person team - you actually get to play A LOT. All that playing no doubt sharpened her skills for an upcoming volleyball team.
ReplyDeleteGlad it went well and you are back home safe and sound :-)
Blessings,
Tammy ~@~
Tammy, that is exactly why she LOVES it. In the action, every play.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you had a fun and positive experience. Two on a team....can't even imagine all the running!
ReplyDeleteIt's not for the out of shape. haha. The court is one foot thinner on each side and two feet shorter at the back.
