What a lovely tribute. And the way you live your life each day, loving your family and being The Huge, that is the loveliest of tributes. Wouldn't Esther Jean just love your blog?
Love to you, Donna Elsie.
Always, Di (have I ever told you my nickname growing up was Pookie? Sort of in the Booba category (-:)
We love Herb Alpert at our house…he was part of our college years. We have five albums total in our combined collection, but not the Whipped Cream one. The Spanish Flea brought back memories. Your mom must have been such a marvel. Is it any wonder that you have a dancing family? Life is made up of memories and yours are extra sweet. love and prayers, jep
Wonderful Donna!
ReplyDeleteAnd don't you remember the album cover
"Whipped Cream"
I have it on my ipod!
I know... I am kind of a nerd.

love you
'Every gift but length of years'. The one thing Ted Kennedy ever said that made me cry.

Yes, like Sarah I am smiling, nodding and wishing you a loving, peaceful day.
ReplyDeleteP.S. my mom adored Herb Albert and had all his albums - I remember her cleaning house with their music cranked up! What a fun memory :-)
Every gift but the gift of years. What a touching and sweet sentiment. Thank you for sharing.
ReplyDeleteSmiling here, too.
ReplyDeleteYou honor her so with your lovely memories of your mother. Who could ask for more than to be remembered with such love?
