Homecoming 2016

Oh my gosh....
How could I have forgotten to post Homecoming 2016 pictures?

It's crazy!

Let's blame it on my three week long back to school sickness.

****

Katie went to homecoming with a nice boy she has been seeing.  They have a lot in common and
he is very nice.

I insisted on a few pictures.

Just about the sweetest picture I ever saw.

I think they had a nice time.
Joe took Katie to a very hip restaurant downtown.
When they got to the dance...they danced a lot.

Finding out details is much harder to do lately.
But you can bet I ask.

Katie is sixteen and a junior in high school.
But she is still my baby.

I think she will always be my baby.

xoxo

  2. They are a delightful homecoming couple. These photos are just fun—make me miss having a teenager in the house! And do you know I still call Kaleb "Baby?" And he responds?

  3. Seriously adorable! Katie is channeling Emma Stone the older she gets. But I do recognize she will always be your baby. xo

What wonderful photos. Katie looks so old! And she looks so good in gold. That last photo is just the most tender, sweet thing.

  8. Oh my. 16!?!?!?! How did that happen? I was already a little nostalgic this morning: my favorite little boy turns 4 soon, and I am missing him greatly! My daughter's boyfriend came over and asked our blessing on a proposal for marriage. My world is changing. All for good, but still....change is hard. Letting go is harder!

  9. I can only echo the other sentiments... Katie is sooooo beautiful. Not just her appearance, which is gorgeous, but her spirit. Her smile and her eyes truly shine....

Makes me miss my college kids...

Thank you, Donna, for sharing these photos. I just love seeing them, and your photo talent always inspires me....

  10. I am so happy Katie is doing so well. She is a lovely person. God gave you the best children. And you worked so hard to make sure they were raised with love and character. You are the best example to me. Thank you. Kaish's homecoming is next week.

  12. I've been teaching for 30 years. This year the *crud* went through the school very early. I'm just finishing 4 weeks of sickness, and still have *thick stuff* in my head. I missed three days of work, which is unheard of for the first seven weeks of school. I've been sick half of the school year so far!!! haha
My granddaughter will turn 17 the end of Dec. She is also a junior this year. She and Katie seem to meet all the milestones together. (volleyball, homecoming, etc.)

  13. How can she have grown up so fast? I guess I just imagine her to be little like she was when I first discovered your blog. You have amazingly beautiful children and grandchildren.
