Family

DSC_9220-4

Spending time with Matthew and Melinda and Asher and Malachi was so wonderful.  I tried my best to follow their routines....which ended up being the easy part.  Asher is an independent little guy and Malachi is one happy dude.  It was the nipple on the bottle and the can opener and the tv and the nighty wrap that had me bumbling along.  Thank goodness Asher is patient.....and sweet.

Do you remember the episode of Andy Griffith when Aunt Bea can't seem to do anything right?  She can't fish and she can't play catch and Opie takes pity on her and thinks she needs to stay with them so they can take care of her.

Well.  That was me.  I am officially Aunt Bea.

Asher was not into getting his picture taken this time.  But you know what?  We need to catch up on Malachi baby pictures anyway :o)

Asher was playing with his best friend and they collided...or something.  There was no real explanation given.  But the "I'm sorry" drama that followed was pretty sweet and hilarious.

How cute is this?

  1. Gorgeous smiles - gorgeous photos. Lots of joy. basically ... a perfect post.

You make me want to find Andy Griffith on the internet - I have always loved Aunt Bea.

(I'm pretty sure in this scenario, I would be Aunt Bea, too.) But the Yaya love makes up for it.

  7. Melinda always has the best hair! And what cute pics. Am I right that Malachi looks like Matthew? I am so glad you could go be wtht them. Did they have a fun get away?

I am sure I will bumble along with new baby technology. Our most techie thing was a basic baby monitor (-:

    Welcome home, Donna.

  8. Yes, they did have a fun getaway! I thought Malachi and Matthew looked alike...but the chubby cheeks make it harder for me to see. Melinda always looks amazing. What's with that?

  11. Is it me or is Matthew becoming more and more like Patrick Sr. everyday? The last pic where he looks so serious, is definitely Patrick's look (called a "Steez" in the Hip Hop world). Love the pics.

  14. Yes, that was the very first episode of The Andy Griffith show. I loved it too, and could relate to it all.
I just LOVE every pic you took. An absolutely beautiful family. My daughter was stung by a bee when she was 3, right over her eyebrow. Huge swelling, and droop of skin over eye. I had a long standing appt. to have her pic made by pros, but I didn't cancel the appt. To this day, that pic reminds me that we shouldn't hide our boo-boo's. Asher can see his little eye one day, a long time from now. It is a part of what makes up our life experiences. So glad you made it there and back, safe.

      Back visiting....

I took my daughter to a professional photographer for her one year pictures. The lady had tile floors in her studio. She put Sophia in a little rocking chair for a pic. I was right.there. Sophia fell right out and landed on her face. Big goose egg on her forehead and a bloody nose. Oh man! So, we took a little break and calmed down. Then went on with the pictures. : )

Those beautiful blue-eyed boys...what joy they project in those photographs. And, you again take the best pictures of little ones catching them in precious poses. So happy for you to have the time with them and to be safely back home. love and prayers, jep
