If you give a moose a muffin

How can it be Wednesday already?
It's a busy time here....
We have a wedding coming up very quickly.  I'll tell you soon...all about it.

I have been sprucing up and working a little and keeping up with Katie.
(I started my diet two weeks ago....after I tried on my dress.  It fits but I look pregnant.)
My hubby asked why I waited so long to diet.
I said, because I didn't want to be on a diet for five months.
I only want to be on a diet for four weeks.

I'd love to weigh a lot less.
But honestly, how many diets can one person go on?

I'll think about it tomorrow.

Katie was invited to be in a Leadership group this year.  Two/three students were chosen from twelve school in the Madison area.  They met once a month and they learned about the community, service and leadership.  Yesterday was the graduation ceremony. It was very sweet.  She is excited to be an alum. :o)

Okay...that's all for now.

Happy hump day.

Love
Donna

  2. Congratulations, Katie! How exciting! A wedding! Can't wait to hear all about it and see pictures. My oldest son is getting married in June and one of my daughter's in September. I don't have a dress yet for either one. I feel your pain about the weight. I have been on a special diet for about a year and a half and lost weight and felt good. But slowly the weight has been creeping back on these last few months. I must get back to exercising! Take good care, Donna!

Yea, Katie! What an honor for her to be chosen. I just know she is an amazing young woman. You'll look lovely at the wedding, Donna. The wonderful mom you are will shine through and people will think you son has been very lucky indeed. Try not to worry about dress details, etc. Just bask in joy.

  4. You sound like me. I had 10 months to lose weight. I was running and had been for years, but lost no weight. It didn't matter. It was the best day ever! (Ironically, I lost 20 pounds six months later after trying Trim Healthy Mama.) Can't wait to see the pictures and hear all the sweet details of the big day.
    Congratulations to Katie!

  5. Donna, I feel ya, totally.

My younger daughter is getting married the first week in July, I've had all this time. I'm the same size I was 10 months, heck, 10 *years* ago!!

Oh well, it's going to be a glorious time, and I figure they'll all be looking at the bride anyway :)

You will look lovely, you ARE lovely xxx

P.S. so proud of Katie!! And I love the moose!

  7. Katie is a beauty. I am so excited she loved her leadership program. What fun. Kaishon's leadership class is culminating with a family day on Saturday to raise money. I am nervous about it but trying to remember it is a kids project and not mine.

  8. Know one of my favorite things to do? Sit at the computer with a bowl of chips researching the next best diet I will start tomorrow :)
You are really really cute, you know. Your glorious children don't get it all from the Boucher side! Katie, you are something! An honor well deserved!

Diet Schmiet. That's why God invented Spanx. One of my favorite quotes is from Sarah Silverman- "Mother Teresa didn't walk around, complaining about her thighs. She had sh*t to do!"

    Congrats to Katie!

    1. absolutely love the Mother Teresa quote!

I mean it when I say that the way you live your life, the relationships you foster and care for, and the transparency and vulnerability that marks your life is TRUE beauty!

  10. I am so very happy for and proud of Katie!
And, don't you worry about your dress for the wedding. Wear your smile and no one will notice anything else. You light up my computer screen and I am sure every room you enter with it. As others have noted, no one looks at anyone other than the bride and groom anyway. You are beautiful inside and out! love and prayers, jep
