They were there in spirit.
Once upon a time there was a handsome Greek boy from Chicago.
He met a pretty little red head from the south side.
They fell in love and married and had seven beloved children.
Jim and Esther loved life.
They danced the jitterbug and listened to Frank Sinatra and Herb Albert.
They vacationed in sunny, sandy places; Acapulco and Maui and one particular cool and fishy place: Hayward, Wisconsin.
They danced.
They drank.
They sang.
They laughed.
They loved their friends.
They loved their family.
And then they were gone.
But their spirits live on in each of us.
And apparently we have picked up where they left off!!!
Here we are in birth order.
Who knew all of my sisters would wear white?
And sunglasses.
Yeah.
I was preoccupied, what can I say?

I was able to take a few wedding pictures. I did not want to get in the real photographers way...
so I shot from my seat and grabbed a picture when I could.

Do these work? I think that it says no comments....you all think I mean I do not want comments. Is that the case?
ReplyDeleteI've been reading your blog for years. May I ask how did your parents pass away? Was it a car accident? If this is too intrusive of a question or too hurtful. Please disregard. I do not want to be hurtful.
ReplyDeleteHi Lynn, I’m glad to answer. I used to have an about me page that is gone now... I told story there. My parents died in a car accident on Sept 30, 1973. The twins were seven, Cindy was 13, Sue and I were both 16, Nancy was 20 and Jim was 21. Nancy came home from college to become our guardian. We stayed in our Wheaton home for a little over two years. Nancy married Bink soon after the accident. Together they helped raise the younger girls. Amazing huh?
DeleteI remember these beautiful pictures!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful words and images.
