ReplyDeleteI hope Katie is feeling better this morning. That just stinks. Sophia caught a cold the last two weeks of school. It was mainly a terrible cough that lasted about 3 weeks. She made it through the whole school year without getting anything until the end. She finally kicked the cough. She just woke up one morning and it was gone. : )

DeleteWe used to have Pig Day at our library years ago. I would wear my pig vest and read pig stories. Charlotte's Web was always the most popular pig book.

So sweet. Reading that book out loud to a classroom of 1st graders is impossible. I cried.
ReplyDeleteI hope Katie is feeling better. Garth Williams' illustrations for Charlotte's Web and the Little House series made him a favorite from way back when. And E.B. White's words, well, they are so sweet and true.

DeleteWhen I was very little, I underlined this passage and told my mom that when I died I wanted it on my grave. I was that sort of kid. Not sure how it made her feel.
