The sun goes down on the first day of summer.
After our ill fated trip to Milwaukee was came home...rested for an hour or so and then went out to eat.
We took the back roads because I hate traffic and the corn is growing and the sky was pretty....
Emma noticed the setting sun and wanted to stop and watch it go down.
So we did.
In the car one of our favorite songs was on the radio.
So they danced.
Of course.
Gosh. I love those girls.
Encourage one another,
Donna

Your family knows how to enjoy summer!!!
ReplyDeleteKatie's raising the roof and Emma's doing the John Travolta pose, so I wonder what the song was? You're so good at enjoying one another and making your fun as you go. Love it!

How is Bren? Been thinking of him.
DeleteThanks for asking. He feels great! Some of us leave tomorrow for sunny but cooler San Diego and the big bball camp. Should be a blast. And they feed him! Worth the price of admission (-:
DeleteKatie sure looks perkier. Safe and Sound is such a great song.

I can just picture Patrick in the car during this little dance number :) I don't know that song, who sings it? I LOVE the picture..........that's making lemonade out of lemons! Karen F.
ReplyDeletePatrick was too tired to come out to dinner with us, Karen.
Deletei LOVE your posts! can just FEEL the music, the mood, and the summertime..........
ReplyDeleteKatie and the corn fields looks like a 1940's ad. Looks like Emma is posing in front of a billboard lol. Even the way Katie looks compared to Emma, that is exactly what it looks like (maybe the depth of their distance from the camera?) You couldn't have done that again if you tried on purpose I bet, way way cool :D
