  1. I always thought Bucolic didn't really fit what it meant. It reminds me of bubonic (plague) and colic, and no one likes crying sad sick babies.

    May I add tranquility? I had never heard the word petrichor, but I sure do love what it means. Your son's point above is well-taken. I will never think of bucolic in the same way again.

  5. I love learning new words. I might feel a bit pretentious using some of them, but @PatrickBoucher I have always thought the same thing for the exact same reason about bucolic!
