July brought fireworks and a funeral.
Our sweet Uncle Mel set off for bluer skies.
He is dearly missed.

Beautiful Morning light

I took this picture on a beautiful October morning. By the end of this very day Emma's health would take a dramatic turn.

Filling out forms. Lots of questions.

I spent much of the next two months driving back and forth to Chicago and helping Emma thru some very hard days.

"Into the woods and out of the woods. And home before dark."

Katie was very grown up and managed with out mom.

So tiny! So quiet! Welcome Ezekiel James. Melinda, stop being so gorgeous three hours post delivery!!

Ezekiel came along and brought with him new joy and another little boy to love.

Knitting with my girl

Emma knitted and mended.

My boy Patrick. Thanks for coming to visit! It means the world to me! 12-15-14

Our son Patrick came to town for a visit in December.

Delicious breakfast with these two. #Tweet #sheridan

As I go forward to greet 2015 I am going to focus on good things,
Good News.

There is so much to be thankful for.

Charity.  More than I have ever experienced.
Love.  Overflowing.

I am thankful for those of you who visit here.
I am especially thankful for the comments.  I know
the comments can be frustrating and fussy...and for that I am
sorry.

Thank you for caring and thank you for praying.
God bless you.

Encourage one another,

Yours is the blog I've been reading the longest and I'm so thankful you are still here encouraging us all and posting your beautiful pictures and words each day. I don't always take the time to comment and that's just lazy of me. Praying 2015 is a sweet year for you and yours.

You have the best blog in blog land hands down and the best commenters, too!
Yesterday in my Forward Day by Day devotion I learned: "the Aaronic blessing, so called because the Lord commanded Moses to give it to Aaron for use in blessing the Israelites..." is Numbers 6:24 "The Lord bless you and keep you." I have said that verse many times and never has it meant more than to say it to you Donna and the QLCS. In 2015 "May the Lord bless you and keep you" and your families each one. love and prayers, jep
