When I think of love....

I think of babies.
This is baby Malachi.  He is happy and giggly.

Everyone can love a baby.
(Especially Malachi...because he is excessively cute!)

That's the easy part.

Dear Lord,
Help us to love the unlovable.
Like you do.
Amen

“To love means loving the unlovable. To forgive means pardoning the unpardonable. Faith means believing the unbelievable. Hope means hoping when everything seems hopeless.”  G.K. Chesterton

But now abideth faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.
1 Cor. 13:13

Happy Valentines Day!
Love wins.

Donna

P.S. that Chesterton quote is outstanding. I need to write that down in my journal, to think about it some more. Help us Lord.

P.P.S. Malachi is darling. Oh my goodness he has grown.

    1. Kathy,

does your hospital still have a nursery? we haven't had one in about 5 years, the last remaining hospital in the city with an active nursery is set to get rid of it in the next year. i think the prettiest baby i have ever seen here was chinese, always beyond adorable. The somolian babies are beautiful too. (I can pass on the plain white babies - aside from my own which are of course adorable)

  7. I was just saying yesterday that one of my favorite things about having a baby is the joy it brings to others to hold them. I'm going to stop typing and go snuggle my Cowbaby...

  10. Isn't that the truth? Everyone can love a baby because they are easy to love.

Malachi is perfect. I hope you can see both of your grandsons soon.

  12. Oh, Malachi. You are darling! Of course, it was your only genetic option, coming from radiant parents like you do.

GKC is one of my favorites. That is a great quote.

Happy Valentine's Day, QLCS. Hope you all feel deeply loved.

So far this year I am learning so much from Brennan Manning (Thanks Di for the introduction). In a recent devotion he wrote: "The Father's love is revealed in the Son's. The Son has been given to us that we might give up fear. There is no fear in love."

GKC is a favorite of mine, too. What a great quote.
And, what a beautiful, beautiful Boy!!
love and prayers to you each one here today and always! jep
