Ho. HEY!

I made this a few weeks ago with photoshop...and then Beautiful Mess came out with their handy dandy picture writer.

Writing is all the rage.
Don't cha know.

Ginny was not getting down.
She was just hanging out in this odd position.
She is a source of many smiles around here.

I like her better now that she is obeying me.

Katie and Ginny are friends.
It's so nice.

Katie uses my old phone.  It is not a phone tho.
The face is badly cracked.

These are the things that will keep her grounded.

Things are quiet here this week.  It's nice.
I'm thankful to not be driving...the gas prices jumped 40¢ in two days.
What the heck!!!

Off to pay bills.  The month is flying by.

  1. Ginny is the source for many smiles for many of us!

Just curious how Jen is doing today. I hope she checks in. I'll try to remember to drop back by later, today.

Continuing to lift up all your sweet blog friends and their various requests,

  2. I love your Vine videos that include Ginny. (and you pudding looked yummy)

Hey! I love to see your happy doggy pictures. I am so happy that Kris brought Rose home to us because Sophia has really grown to love her puppy. She has a playmate! Rosie girl keeps us busy. She currently LOVES mud puddles. I do not like that.

At my Mom 2 Mom group last night we were talking about how to keep our kids grounded. Kids have game stations, ipads, ipods, kindles, computers, t.v.'s and get to go out to eat and experience so much more than we ever did growing up. It's such a balancing game. Parenting is so hard. : )

Enjoy your quiet life today, Miz Booshay!

  4. I have to say I'm glad that I had my kiddos in slightly simpler times (born in the 80's) - they didn't need or receive a mobile phone until they went to University!

I notice that kids around me don't seem to ever be idle or without something to keep them entertained. (at the same time, my favorite thing to do while waiting for a tram or bus or train is to play solitaire on my first generation iPhone so perhaps I am a wee bit hypocritical).

My hats off to you dear Donna as you keep your darlin' girl grounded.

Oh, and give Ginny a hug from me -- what a lovable doggy. I have been missing my old boy badly this week. Dogs sure become a part of your life.

    "hugs" from your Swiss Miss

((Hugs)) to you, Susan. Sorry you're hurting.
      Mary Z

    2. Thanks Mary - each day is a bit better. Hugs back.

  5. Keeping kids grounded IS hard work. We've never had much money, and I have to say that as much as I have struggled with contentment, keeping kids grounded is MUCH easier when you have no money. Bren plays basketball with kids who have everything money can buy (13 car garage anyone?) and their wonderful parents are working so hard to instill a strong work ethic, gratitude, and compassion in their kids. I have so much respect for them.

LOVE that Ginny hangs out that way. She is so funny!

Gas cost...ugh! Speaking of having no money )-:

But it is gorgeous today, I had a three mile walk with a friend, and all is well in Wheelerville. Love to the QLCS!

    I love that sweetheart!

  6. so funny I found this post when this song was playing on my radio :) love the pics

Oh my goodness, Ginny has such focus when she's being photographed! Perhaps she always looks at you with such intensity? She's a dear.

It IS hard to keep kids grounded. Even when we don't give them lots of extra or elaborate "stuff", they don't want for much. We have always said one of our most important jobs is to evangelize our kids, and hope that helps balance out the rest. Hope that makes sense.

    1. Yes it makes perfect sense :-)

Annie used to sit on the back porch like that, two front feet on the ground and the rest .......plop! Love the Labs (minus the hair of course).

  9. I enjoy your pictures of Katie and Ginny! Two adorable "kids"! Yes, dogs do believe they are people, too. They're just trapped in a furry body. Sometimes, I would gladly change places with them!

It was good to read your blog again. There is so much social media around these days that I find it impossible to keep up with all that I used to.

Hope things are going well for y'all! Take care, Mott
